The global economy is about to collapse into a depression worse than that of the 1930s, and its roots are deeper than trade wars, this according to Gerald Celente, publisher of The Trends Journal.

“It’s one big scam, it’s ready to blow apart, it has almost nothing to do with trade wars and tariffs,” Celente told Kitco News.

The “Greatest Depression,” as Celente calls it, will likely strike after the 2020 presidential election, he said.

I remember the good old days, when 90+ year olds in nursing homes lived forever. Darn this pesky virus.

Quick everybody let's draw most of our money out of the bank so that we won't find the doors locked in our faces when we go to draw it out like these poor slobs in the 1929 Depression

If that did happen today, perhaps people would go for the politicians and government houses next, ha!

Celente and that italian broad might be trying to pimp gold, i dunno... but he makes plenty of valid points.

Interest rates have been diving down under, they are at record lows, and the economy is still fkt, so the central bankers dont have much more interest rates to cut, unlike before. Celente mentions the US being in a similar position with rates (however the US is no where near as dead economically as down undah mates)

Theyve been cutting and cutting in my neck of the woods but its not doing enough. Theres too much regulation and government and corporate hands in everyones pockets so the economy is nose diving, cutting rates aint gonna fix things... and they dont have much more to cut now.

Perhaps this is the plan anyway, an economic collapse would wipe out the middle class and have them more on par with all the 3rd worlders they want to replace us with... and it fits into the socialist / communist agenda. Thanks commies!

If a Depression does come, it'll be without warning. Members at the Podcast Survival forum where I hang say the only sure safeguard is to draw out our cash NOW, and many of us have already done that and keep it hidden around the house or in cashboxes. leaving a bare minimum in the bank to pay our debits etc.
I'm not an economics expert, so suppose a Depression did hit us, what sort of bad effects will it have apart from banks locking their doors? Will there be food riots and looting as people begin to starve or what?

I think our overlords would do all in their power to stop these scenarios.

Ive seen them really crap themselves when basic infastructure falls apart, like in my neck of the woods where power was out all night one night in a city of over a million people... they were bracing themselves for lawlessness and did not like the idea of that from what I picked up on.

So would the above pics happen in the west, im not so sure.

Would be fucking interesting though if it did. :lmao: :hahano:

In a severe prolonged SHTF Depression, money probably won't be any use anyway if there's nothing to buy, and we can't eat money..:)
This poor slob in Survivors (1975) died of starvation even though he had a bag full of cash-

Yep, you'll need food and weapons.

A crossbow seems like a good idea, as ammo will eventually run out unless you stockpile a shitload of it.

Personally I dont think there will be any kind of civil unrest scenarios anytime soon... just continued economic decay of sorts and erosion of the middle class and their disposable income.... a widening gap between the haves and have nots.
