Can we have a food posting room? please - maybe there many who argue elsewhere can agree or at least engage in non-confrontational posts.

ermm praps not lol - but then

"You couldn't say no to some nice fired fish and chips" Sam Gamgee

"Oh yes we could" Smeagol aka Gollum on fish

Its bound to be a winner

Tell you what, i'll make it happen if you can get Nigella Lawson on board to moderate it.

EDIT: Even Rachel Ray would do.

No Jamie Oliver, no homo. :nono:
I remember the good old days, when 90+ year olds in nursing homes lived forever. Darn this pesky virus.

"The truth must be repeated over and over again,
because error is repeatedly preached among us, not
only by individuals, but by the masses. In periodicals
and cyclopaedias, in schools and universities; every-
where, in fact, error prevails, and is quite easy in the
feeling that it has a decided majority on its side."

Nov, just as a thought, is there any way of setting up a sub-forum that operates in the basis of merit i.e for example if somebody engages in petty childish disputes and ad-homs then they're excluded or sin-binned for a time from the sub-forum, rather than banning peeps from the main forums. You see what I'm getting at? I think it would be an interesting experiment. Call it the ''Inner zone'' or whatever.

It can be done, infact its already set up.

We have an inner zone category (y'all just cant see it) and have experimented and tried it. Its empty right now, with no posts and no members, only mods can see it.

In my experience it creates more shitstorms than its worth.. im not a fan of excluding people or having to set up a system to effectively exclude people.

My 2c.

I'd be for the inner circle suggestion though there would be nobody in it, if it required rules to be stuck to, besides that novum don't want rules, they give him something to do....

If we had rules how many posters would be left posting?

What would be needed would be 'gentleman's rules' or 'ladies rules' (not wanting to sound exclusive) and things such as petty debates from the main forum would be left at the door, can we have a funny handshake please?

It might encourage posters to get on more in the main forum though, why not try a self regulation trial of say a month, if it's no good then it gets cancelled, I guess the only rule would be not to discuss the lodge posts on the main forum, can we call it the sunwheel section and all have horned avatars ?

Now youve sparked my interest, though im thinking more along the lines of masked avatars.

And i could make the category need password entry... and be in the chatroom. Where theres a/v available.

And some background music?
