Post your 2 vids or 2 pictures comparing a couple of decades ago with today's world. :D

I'll start off with a vid I just posted earlier in another topic, from back in the day, when overall was nice, decent and romantic...

...to thrashy, whore and porn-like:

^ Yea, those 'trophee' picture are horrible... I wonder who in his right goddamn mind could ever pose besides such an animal, proud of having killed it.

Just see that fat fuck sit there, besides the king of the jungle.... probably even shot it from his car or something, as I don't see how he could actually move himself around there. Lion probably not being able to care for his family anymore as well...

Meh :(

I went to an all white school in Philly in the 1960s. Supreme court overturned the founder's will which stipulated only poor, white, male orphans (1) should be admitted, and now the school is nearly all Black. Thanks to the people who got the NAACP going (you knaw who they are? Hint: rhymes with who lol).

(1) Orphan meant having lost your father, not both parents.

There is often more to those photos.. and whilst incredibly sad, ive watched some documentaries about it.

Poachers are a massive massive problem in africa. Wildlife reserves need full time security, im talking their own personal armed militia patrolling 24/7. Otherwise, poachers hit those ranches and kill rare rhinos to saw their horns off among other things.. absolutely atrocious.

So to pay for these reserves and teams of armed security, ranch owners often have no choice but to open the gates to wealthy bounty hunters and let them kill some animals, usually lions, for a large fee... it makes the reserves viable, and without this, they would cease to exist and the mindless poachers would extinguish alot of species.

So the trophy hunting pays for conservation, in a fucked up way. Unfortunate but its the way it is. If people didnt demand fucked up shit like rhino horns and elephant parts and so on, this issue wouldnt exist.

My School was in North Philly - surrounded by a Black Ghetto, with some whites. One of my schoolmates was shot dead due to gang related issues.
(I had graduated the year before but I knew him).

I can see your point, i feel somewhat the same, but the reality is, his fat (probably wealthy) ass wouldve injected money into that safari park or whatever, and helped keep endangered species alive and safe from poachers... and that includes other lions that are breeding and so on.

The security forces needed in these places are full on.. automatic weapons, 24 hr patrols, teams of people not just one, or else the poachers might feel like dealing with them... i can see it would take alot of $$$ to run one of these places.

That said, its extremely saddening that it is the way it is, im a nature lover and i dig big cats.. that big guy paid the price to keep his fellow animals on this earth unfortunately, all due to self centered human wants therefore human economics, supply and demand.

It's sick indeed, but on the other hand at least his life wasn't in vain, as he gave it up for his fellow animals.

Yep thats how we have to see it, id say most instances like the one pictured earlier are whats called 'legal' game hunting, and it pays for conservation.

What is the real cause of this sickness is people wanting these animal parts, and the poachers who behave like nothing more than primitive apes themselves and do anything they can to get those parts.

Yea.. and the Chinese demanding the most of it by far... seems those people have 'different' kind of morals then a lot of others do regarding animal treatment.

Well, I haven't seen it much in Holland tho... it's only a very rare occasions in some supermarkets.

Probably to make it look like they actually care about their customers, hoping they will rake in more money.

Must say I find it very awkward tho, to suddeny be 'welcomed' at a supermarket.

One of the perils of new world shopping. :larf:

At 'Bunnings' in australia you can sometimes avoid them by entering through the garden center on the side... where its just cashiers there, if you get lucky theyre busy and theres no spare workers loitering. :larf:
