I remember back in my days we were always outside, hide and seek, building huts, climbing trees, making fires, playing football, basketball, tennis, fishing, jump into a boat and just paddle away or just walking around the place... only time we were inside was when the weather was bad or we had to play a computergame.

But are most of them really sitting inside nowadays with their Ipads, Iphones and stuff or not?

there have been several instances in canada in the last few years, in which parents have been reported to Child Services for having their children playing outside, even one recently where children were playing in an enclosed back garden.
i agree whole heartedly with the meme you posted, but there are many stupid people who need to mind the business of their neighbours and their kids.

Ever heard of 'exaggeration' ?

Last weekend we went to the beach and coming weekend we'll be going to the forest.

Anyway, have fun having kids and get ready to throw your Salsa out of the window, because the only thing where you will be is at work or within a maximum 20 meter radius of your kid(s) for the coming 4 years. Then a 35 - 50 meter radius for the next six. And a 75 - 100 meter radius for an additional 2 years. :D

Ok Z, but it is a PC image change, as is the disappearance of the Robertson's Marmalade Golliwog, replaced by a teddy bear.

Fact is, in the Raj times, Indians did what it says on the label.

^ O well... don't even get me started about the change of appearance of our 'Black Pete'... (Zwarte Piet)

In Holland we have this yearly children's Folk Festival called "Sinterklaas" since around 1850... translated: "Santa Claus"

It starts every mid of November, when Santa Claus and his helpers, the black Petes, arrive with the steamboat from Spain and
get ashore. Sinterklaas will ride his white horse, and the Petes will cheer everyone up. It is a huge festival throughout the whole
country for the children, as all the parents go out on the streets with their kids and the Petes throw candy all over the place. There's
a lot of Sinterklaas-songs, Sinterklaas-candy in the stores. In the schools suddenly Sinterklaas will come into class with his helpers and
that's a lot of fun.

Sinterklaas (Santa Claus)

And there's also the tradition that the kids can put their shoe at the door at night, with a bowl of water and a carrot for the horse,
for when Sinterklaas and the Petes come at the door when they are asleep. The next day the kids will find the bowl of water empty
and the carrot will be gone... however, a small present is left in the shoe... which is awesome of course.

Zwarte Piet (Black Pete)

Then on the 5th of December, Sinterklaas and his black Petes will leave... but will leave a ton of presents in the evening at home, which is a lot of fun of course:

Anyway... since the last few years we have leftist groups in Holland calling out the festival for being racist, for the black people looking like negro's and Sinterklaas as their slave-handler. And every year the protests are getting worse. Negro's in Holland who never had a problem with the festival before, suddenly start feeling 'offended' and protest together with the leftists when Sinterklaas sets ashore...

Even the United Nations are mixing into the discussion now and are calling Holland racist for the yearly happening.

And, due to political correctness, the appearance of Black Pete is now changing to "Stroopwafel (cookie) Pete", "Cheese-Pete", "White-Pete", "Purple Pete", "Clown-Pete" and some "Black-Petes"

There NEVER was any problem about this festival before, but now people suddenly start feeling 'offended' by it.... man-o-man... what a society.

We also had this typical candy in our stores called "Negerzoenen" translated: "Negro kisses" :D

But, a few years ago they changed the name on the box to "Zoenen" (Kisses), due to racism:

Ahh... the political correctness... gotta love it!

Detroit is the perfect example of what the western world will look like once the non-whites take over. Detroit, before it was flooded with Negroes, was a very prosperous, wealthy city under white rule. Now, Detroit resembles a third world slum. Crime is rampant, buildings lay abandoned and the city's infrastructure is damaged beyond repair. This is the future that awaits us if nothing is done to stop these globalist swine.

Detroit isn't how it is because of its inhabitants, it's how it is because of the lack of investment in them, and I don't just mean throwing welfare cheques at irresponsible people.

Coffee is maybe more acceptable than beer at breakfast.
Agree that coffee here has come on in leaps and bounds this past few years.
We use Douwe Egberts coffee which is pretty good.
