It's been a long time coming ...
But, how legal is it?
On the 16th, Canada had two laws pertaining to pot, possession and trafficking ...
Today they are 45 laws about pot.

UK we have a Canadian GW pharma with exclusive rights to sell Sativex for prescription..whilst its classified as illegal & doesn't have any medical benefits officially. So the government are basically selling illegal drugs in your face.

Hemp products now kosher, thanks to Kentucky company
“Many people are very aware that kosher means quality,” said GenCanna president Steve Bevan. “We are demystifying cannabis and calling it food.” www.jpost.com/Diaspora/Hemp-products-now-kosher-thanks-to-Kentucky-company-545435

Israeli Farms Lead the World in Producing New Marijuana Strains

From Kibbutz to Cannabis: Israeli Farms lead the World in Producing New Marijuana Strains

Will Israel become the world leader in cannabis exports? The decision is in the hands of the government, but farmers and researchers in Israel are quietly preparing to take the world by storm the moment they receive permission. A small but technologically advanced marijuana farm, Tikun Olam, started legal commercial production in 2008. They’ve set a standard of quality that growers the world over will be hard pressed to match.

GENETIC ENGINEERING

GMO foods may carry negative implications for some, but when it comes to medical marijuana, genetic engineering is deemed crucial for treating a range of diseases.

Israeli scientists are among the world leaders in modifying marijuana’s molecular structure to tailor cannabinoids to specific receptors for treating symptoms.

Hebrew University researchers have synthesized 22 versions of the cannabinoid THC that have great potential for treating neurological and inflammatory diseases.

“The Hebrew University holds a rich IP bank of cannabis patents. It is easier to conduct cannabis research and clinical studies in Israel than in any other country in the world,” said Kaye.

Billionaire George Soros behind major push for marijuana legalization

Hungarian-American billionaire and philanthropist George Soros is no stranger when it comes to throwing around money, but the former hedge fund manager is making headlines over some major donations he’s made to help legalize marijuana.

On the heels of the approval of two of the United States’ first recreational laws in Colorado and Washington, other locales across the country are considering implementing policy changes that could decriminalize pot, ease penalties for users or eliminate weed laws altogether. Advocacy groups are leading the campaign to crush marijuana prohibition from coast-to-coast, and 83-year-old Soros is helping line the pockets of those making that push.

Any difference from Netherlands?

Spain you can grow legally certain amount of plants for percy & smoke in clubs this has been going on for years.

Legal to me would be no rules... like a tomato plant, where nobody gives a shit so you can just grow tomatoes whenever wherever and how many ever.

That wont really happen anywhere, because there is money to be made, taxes to be collected and/or monopolies to be had... and that also goes for places where it is very illegal still, like where I am. :yup:

They know many people suffering from for example epilepsy or Parkinsons are taking 100% pure medical marijuana and seeing the benefits.

No company can patent a 100% natural plant. You can't patent a banana.

Instead (((BIg Paharma))) have taken the hemp oil and added a few other ingredients in order to sell it for profit.

June this year.

"The Home Office has backed down over its refusal to release medicinal cannabis oil that it had confiscated from the family of a severely epileptic boy.

Sajid Javid said he had used an exceptional power as home secretary to issue a licence for Billy Caldwell to be treated with the oil as a matter of urgency.

Billy’s mother, Charlotte Caldwell from County Tyrone, said her family had “achieved the impossible” in getting the oil back, and criticised the “dreadful, horrific, cruel experience” her son had suffered.

Billy’s cannabis oil was confiscated at Heathrow on Monday. It contains a psychoactive substance called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that is illegal in the UK but available elsewhere, and had kept his epilepsy at bay.
