An asylum seeker (also rarely called an asylee applicant) is a person who flees their home country, enters another country and applies for asylum, i.e. the right to international protection, in this other country. An asylum seeker is a type of migrant and may be a refugee, a displaced person, but not an economic migrant

it was about 25 years ago and a couple of mischievous christian pals invited me to a service at Bishop St Church Leicester, so I went along just to be a good sport, and also because I'd heard a woman who I fancied was a church member and I could ogle her.
However I walked out 5 minutes after the service began because it was boring the krap out of me.
My pals knew I'd probably walk out, and as I made my way to the exit they said "There he goes" and began rofling.
It turned out they'd secretly bet among themselves how many minutes it'd be before I walked..:)

PS- I later dated that woman a few times but we soon drifted apart because she always dressed dowdy and wore hideous flat shoes, and when I bought her a pair of sexy high heels she refused to wear them.
Pity because I was planning to get her a Wonder Woman outfit later, huh you try to be nice (sniffle)

Egypt would have been a rich nation 2000 years ago, I bet border crossing was a regular activity for fleeing Judeans, as Herod was such a meanie.

Yes you're getting there mate, your sunday school teacher will be proud of you..:)
In the old days all sensible people (even me) were happy and glad to grant asylum to genuine refugees, but sadly nowadays the vast majority are not genuine and are simply heathens who have abandoned their own countries in their millions to scrounge off us, spot the difference?
In fact their countries are emptying so fast they must be running on fumes by now..:)

You can try and step around it all you like and look as silly as you please Ugh, the fact of the matter is Jesus was an asylum seeker.

As I already said, Egypt was a rich nation back at that time, I assume the flood gates were open with hordes of Judah's fleeing Herod the meanie, Jesus and Co = a few extra swampers.

Incidentally, notice how the Establishment have hijacked Joseph, Mary and JC to try to push their multicultural / pro- mass immigration agenda, and I daresay there'll be plenty of gullibles who'll swallow it..:)
Fact is, Christianity is all about being apart from heathens and certainly not inviting them to come live in our countries!

Jesus said- "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs....do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces" (Matt 15:26,Matt 7:6)
John said- "Do not take them into your house or welcome them" (2 John 1:7-11)
Paul said- "What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?..Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters" (2 Cor 6:14-18 )

So what? Him and his mam and dad were genuine refugees, and never even wanted to leave Israel in the first place til that angel said- "You'd better skedaddle for a while"..:)

So now you agree that they were indeed asylum seekers?

Earlier in the thread you disagreed.

Those greedy and corrupt people in the chapel & the snooty priests were far too conservative and capitalist with their thinking, JC got them told as if he was an early carnation of Karl Marx.

Jesus didn't own much, nor did he charge for his healthcare, he was being a Socialist by example.

The snooty priests were like Conservatives, stuck in tradition but completely missing the message.

Jesus told them off and yelled ''power to the people''.

No, because they didn't deliberately emigrate to scrounge and sponge off the host nation..:)

Jesus said "I didn't come to overturn the old laws", but rather he gave us free will to choose to follow them, call it a test.
For example you can go on a witch-killing spree if you like but JC would be none too pleased

Haha mate you're getting funnier by the minute..:)
Logic it out:- if Jesus and his mates were gay, why did they go around saying homosexuality is a naughty step offence?
Write this down in your sunday school exercise book-
Paul said- "Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. " (1 Cor 6:9-11)

Jesus - if he existed - was not human...he was a super natural being :notworthy:
his mission here was to show humanity the meaning of love and opening their hearts

this mission failed cause humanity was/still is backwards

extraterrestrials must have the impression human stupidity is so massive that it could be a disease  :twitch:

But that doesn't define an asylum seeker, seeking refuge from persecution to a foreign land does. That's why Jesus was one.
