At the patent office they say my seeds are unique, different so they deserve a patent... Meanwhile they tell the FDA my seeds are basically the same so no need to lable. HAhahaha! You can't have it both ways.

Most everything we eat is GM.
GM has been going on since agriculture began.
Monsanto is patenting 'their' GM.
We've been picking and enjoying ( non-Monsanto) GM garden peas this past fortnight.
Had our seed not been GM....
We'd not be eating peas.
Today's garden peas sit at the end of centuries of GM improvements hence their early cropping, consistency in producing good sized pods and sweetness of peas therein.

Translation:

Natural plant mutations, selective propagation, and hybrid vigour, are not the same as GMO.

Nature, for example, would not create a plant that is roundup ready.

When plants mutate in nature, or are cross bred, the new plant is still 100 percent plant cells, not stuff spliced in that some mad scientist who is employed by a corporation has decided is good for us, or good for their and other corporations bottom line, and useful in enslaving farmers.

And many of our current crops are simply selectively propagated.. that is, we find a plant/crop that is useful to us humans, we then selectively propagate that crop on a larger scale than lesser desireables... it becomes more wide spread.... again this is in no way related to GMO.

Most of what i eat is not GM, i do my best to avoid it.

I dont have enough time to write all i know about the lies put out about our supposed lack of ability to produce enough food now and in the future for the world... and how we need GMO to solve this "problem" ... GMO is not about what they purport it to be about... it is about profit, financial enslavement, and over all control of humanity.

And that is why so many food producers who understand the bigger picture are opposed to it, especially on this big island.

It's all GM mate.
Whether it's done on the farm, in a greenhouse or in a lab.
End result is genetic modification, usually with a view to improve yield or aid pest/disease resistance.
Without GM we'd have mass starvation.
Nobody can avoid GM produce.
First time ever there was a 'lab splice' GM open-air field trial then that genie was out of the bottle.
Birds insects and breezes obliging to spread the genetic changes.
No crop anywhere in the world is GM 'free'.
