TOPIC: What do McD's do with the rest of the tomato ???

Passing a Mcd's the other day running some errands, and for once had a few spare pounds, was peckish, had not had one for ages,
oh bugger it I don't need to justify myself :-)
So pulled in and there was the Big Tasty for a limited time.
A lovely burger, as close as you can get to a BK actually.

Do the usual, open the box and remove the slices of tomato (no gherkin in these). And it suddenly dawned on me..
you never see a small slice in the burger, same with BK actually.

I'd always imagined they chopped them fresh - but if that was the case where do the smaller slices go?

Well, what did they do with the excess chicken fat they had? Put it in the thick milk-shakes, that's what. The tomato bits will have been mulched up beyond recognition and slopped into summat else, I'll bet.

And - yes, DO justify yourself - what are you doing eating that TRASH anyway? Lips, ears and sphincters in a bun? Norty mod.

And contrary to poular belief they only use good meat - this isn't that horrid kebab thing in the chippy that takes a month to get used up :-)

It seems the tomatoes are prepared elsewhere and sent out as big slices !

Hmmm. Excuses. Excuses. I hear the same from The Child.


So, they deal with a SEPARATE COMPANY who specialises in Large Tomato Slices? What kind of brain would you need to come up with that as a Business Idea?

It makes sense,
they just send the prime slices, then turn the remainder into something else :-)

apparently they saved $300,000,000 a year by removing once slice of the 2 in a cheeseburger, that's a lot of burgers !

It's even more tomatoes.

Hmmh... Big slices for burgers, the rest to ketchup? I doubt they would be that smart though... McShait.
