The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet.

The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fueling brain function.

However, if little carbohydrate remains in the diet, the liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source. An elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood is a state known as ketosis.

What Would I Eat If I Had Cancer?

Facts about cancer:

1. It depends on Glycolysis
2. It takes in Glucose 10-12 times more than normal cells.

more in vid... basic premise is, avoid sugar.

Many cancer cell types cannot metabolise ketones - low carb diets basically starve them and stall the tumour growth, and in many cases reverse the cancer as inflammation drops significantly.

What is the Ketogenic Diet? (Basic Concepts Simply Discussed)

What is the Ketogenic Diet? The keto way of eating is exploding in popularity, and for very good reasons. No other diet can give the amazing short-term and long-term results like keto can.

Keto is very do-able and very sustainable. There are 1000's of foods you can choose to enjoy on keto, all of which are natural and healthy. You never need to spend money of powders, bars, shakes or potions when you eat keto, you just get to eat lots of healthy, delicious food.

Keto is the diet your ancestors ate, and the diet you should eat too. It is easy, natural and healthy, and oh so tasty. Start with this video and then you can watch my other keto videos here:

The Carnivore Diet: Should You Really Try This? (Your DNA Might Matter)

Most people who eat a good, whole-food ketogenic diet feel better than they have in decades. Some few, however, need to go one step further and eat Carnivore.

As we all discover that there is no meaningful research Proving that the diets we used to think were healthy are healthy at all, more and more of us are returning to very ancient diets, and having some wonderful results. What do you think?

It works, i lost 60lbs and i'm now back to the weight i was in college. All my bloating is finally gone with little to 0 exercise.

I had started a thread about Keto & intermittent fasting over the summer but never updated it.

Dr. Berg and Thomas Delauer are the same youtubers i watched last fall.

I also watch some of Siim Land videos on Keto & Fasting www.youtube.com/channel/UCAohrrjG-3gEp5QF1WlM9_w/videos

And Shawn Baker videos on the carnivore diet www.youtube.com/channel/UC5apkKkeZQXRSDbqSalG8CQ/videos

Well done, congrats. Many people say similar, that theyve had good results.

And cutting back carbs and sugars is always going to work to an extent regardless of how strictly one follows any diet i guess.

This modern bread and sugar diet, as well as processed foods with even worse additives, is a relatively recent phenomenon in human history.

Jordan Peterson's daughter has been on the carnivore diet for over a year to help with her arthritis.

Here's the thing, it works and i wish i knew about this 20 years ago.

For years i would buy everything in the grocery store but red meat. Red meat digest easy and helps with gut inflammation.

All those years buying bread, pasta, rice, chips and frozen foods...

Obviously cutting back carbs and sugars is the key but it's the macronutrients in the meat, eggs and fat that make the diet work.

I still eat carbs but my diet doesn't center around them anymore. Meat makes you feel full and kills hunger and carb cravings.

I guess carbs can work if you burn a crazy amount of energy... which means its not for most people.

Athletes etc that do a fkload of cardio, sure.

Ive done long distance running among other things in the past, (fusball) and then it didnt matter what id eat. But the amount of energy id burn per day then wasnt normal, I was kinda insane :hahano: (still am, just in different ways now :larf: )

But for most people, it becomes fat... and all the un-natural shit and poisons in processed food dont help either.

Now I eat a good amount of beef, chicken, goat when available (dont knock it till you try it) ... and fish/seafood sometimes.

I should eat more seafood, I will try to.

Sugar is bad, and the shite they sell called 'bread' in grocery stores is bad news too.

Most processed foods are chemical shitstorms these days.

I agree, I can eat a ton of bread, pasta etc and its not filling like meat.

A lot of people say that when you go ketogenic or carnivore, appetite drops off too, which adds to the weight loss.

Ive never gone proper keto, but been carnivore, I agree about the appetite falling with that.

I might try this keto thing, see if i can keep it up.

Mind you, im still of the opinion there is more than one way to skin this cat... ive gotten shredded before one summer eating a lot of stonefruit and meat...along with reducing my calorie intake and intermittent fasting... with little extra exercise just the usual life stuff moving around... so perhaps the sugars in fruit are different to artificial stuff.

I like banana, blueberries and blackberries and now that my weight is 205lb (which is what it was in college) i will start drinking shakes again for breakfast. I had been doing intermittent fasting and only eating in the afternoon but i don't have much energy in the morning now that i'm lean again.
