I could never figure out why tattoos don't fade with time. I mean, skin cells regularly die and replenish themselves like every other cell in the body, so when they die why don't they take the ink with them?

I have a tattoo of a snake on my left upper arm. I proudly wear it as an insignia of a heretic group I used to belong to, thousands of yers ago when the snake was more revered and spiritual than it is today.

It looks something like this .......

Birth is not a beginning; death is not an end. There is existence without limitation; there is continuity without a starting point.” ~ Chuang Tzu
