A panzer general, who was allowed to visit his Führer on 26 September, remembered that, ‘it was a tired, broken man who greeted me, then shuffled over to a chair and asked me to sit down’. General Nikolaus von Vormann, whose Ninth Army had just been destroyed in the east, recalled that Hitler spoke ‘so softly and hesitantly that it was hard to understand him. His hands trembled so much he had to grip them between his knees.’ Vormann put all of this down to 20 July, because he then observed, ‘This was not the same Hitler I had last seen at war conferences on 15 and 18 July, before the murder attempt of the twentieth.’ Vormann was not aware that Hitler’s health had already been going steadily downhill; Stauffenberg’s briefcase had merely accelerated the process.

On 25 September he was diagnosed with jaundice and on 1 October fainted while being treated by Giesing. Of these days, another of his secretaries, Traudl Junge (whose husband had died in Normandy fighting with the Waffen-SS), remembered Hitler ‘lying disinterested in his bed looking around with tired eyes . . . his body had suddenly realised how senseless had been all the efforts of brain and will, and had gone on strike’. On 13 November the Führer developed a sore throat, finding it difficult to eat. X-rays revealed a non-malignant laryngeal polyp on his left vocal cord, a common affliction of professional singers.

Hitler’s final departure from the Wolf ’s Lair – he would never return, for the Russian army was within fifty miles of the bunker complex – was for an operation in Berlin to remove it. The procedure to remove this tiny, but irritating anomaly (they are the size of a millet seed) was completed on 22 November, and the Führer was voiceless for a week (a blessed time, apparently, for those in the vicinity), the entire Chancellery adopting whispers in sympathy. He totally withdrew from all aspects of public life while he recovered, apart from a conference on 2 December about the Ardennes, and then left Berlin overnight on 10–11 December, when he journeyed by train then car to the Adlerhorst in the lee of the Schloss Kransberg at Ziegenberg.

Thus, in the midst of planning and executing the Ardennes campaign, Hitler’s physical and mental faculties were excessively impaired: he slept little, was exhausted and subject to an extraordinary daily cocktail of drugs, which may partly explain the extreme risk-taking that the eventual plan entailed. Whatever the political logic, the Ardennes was not a sane venture and certainly not an operation that Hitler or OKW would have contemplated even a year earlier.

Hitler’s diet, mostly potatoes and vegetables – he was a strict vegetarian – was never good, his meals were prepared lukewarm (an intolerance of hot food due allegedly to the physical consequences of his being gassed), and he had a sweet tooth with a weakness for chocolate cake. Newly discovered records of his personal dentist, Brigadeführer Dr Hugo Blaschke, Deputy Chief Dental Surgeon of the SS, who put ten fillings into Hitler’s mouth in 1944 alone, also noted at this time his boss frequently complained of pain and had ‘terribly bad breath, yellowing teeth, abscesses and gum disease’. Hitler’s anxieties can only have increased as he had a personal phobia of the dentist’s chair. Göring had been a patient of Blaschke’s in 1930, whereupon the latter had joined the SA and the Party, subsequently treating Goebbels, Himmler and Eva Braun. In the competitive inner sanctum of the Führerhauptquartier, Himmler like to have his acolytes closely watching everything; Blaschke was one, along with SS-Brigadeführer Dr Karl Brandt, yet another of Hitler’s personal physicians for over a decade. Behind the Führer’s back and responding to protests from Dr Giesing, his rival Morell was prevailed upon to alter his treatments. Thereupon Hitler’s physical condition improved somewhat, perhaps because he was buoyed mentally by plans for the Ardennes attack.

Hitler’s illnesses and psychological reactions need to be inserted into our picture of events leading to the Bulge campaign – particularly in the Führer’s refusal to listen to advice or alter plans. As General Walter Warlimont, Jodl’s deputy in the Wolfsschanze, who was himself injured by Stauffenberg’s bomb, commented in a post-war interview, ‘Hitler controlled everything from the beginning, down to single modifications of weapons. [His] health at that time was not good; he had to bear the consequences of 20th July; he was the initiator of the plan, not OKW. When we had studied the possibilities of reaching Antwerp, we were convinced it was impossible with our forces.’

As we shall discover, various feasible alternatives were proposed, which then and today were considered to have stood a much better chance of success, but as Warlimont observed, his Führer always countered with the statement that ‘This operation is unalterable in every detail’. Hitler’s leadership, once inspirational, had become poisonous; he was no longer able to assess data unless it corresponded to his own preconceived notions, and blatantly ignored facts he did not like, such as intelligence reports with adverse conclusions.

Some of the Führer’s physical ailments – the uncontrollable trembling of his left arm and hand – suggest, as noted earlier, a form of Parkinson’s disease, but mentally Hitler’s traits put him at least somewhere on the autism or Asperger’s spectrum, possibly with extreme pathological demand avoidance (PDA) syndrome, which can develop in childhood. Sufferers typically exhibit obsessive behaviour, a lack of boundaries, avoid everyday work and social demands due to their own high anxiety levels, and feel they are not in control. They often possess great communication skills, but in appearing charming when feeling secure, they lack depth in their understanding of colleagues and intimates, and suffer excessive mood swings, often switching violently with a ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ tendency, having real problems controlling their temper, which can take the form of prolonged tantrums and violent outbursts. Speer observed these increase in frequency as the war drew on; in one conference at which he presented unwelcome statistics, ‘That alone made Hitler nervous and angry. Although he listened, I could see by his expression, by the lively fluttering of his hands, the way he chewed his fingernails, that he was growing increasingly tense . . . When I had finished . . . Hitler was no longer in control of himself. His face flushed deep red; his eyes turned lifeless and fixed. Then he roared at the top of his lungs . . . Abruptly, he terminated the conference, cutting off all further argument.’

Those afflicted by PDA syndrome often have an inability to see the bigger picture and a desire to dominate; they understand the rules of human behaviour, which they nevertheless feel do not apply to themselves. Their ability to avoid decisions can include refusal, distraction, excuse-giving, delay, argument, suggestion of alternatives, or withdrawal into fantasy, and may be supported by temporary physical incapacitation. If pushed to comply, they can become verbally or physically aggressive with severe behavioural outbursts, fashionably described these days as a ‘panic attack’

What is PDA?

PDA is Pathological Demand Avoidance, a syndrome which is increasingly recognised as part of the autistic spectrum, although criteria for diagnosis is different (see ‘What is ASD?’). It is a pervasive developmental disorder and is life long. There may be a neurological element in some cases eg because of problems with gross motor skills and clumsiness.

Murray pegged Hitler's personality as "counteractive narcism," a type that is stimulated by real or imagined insult or injury. According to Dr. Murray, the characteristics of this personality type include: holding grudges, low tolerance for criticism, excessive demands for attention, inability to express gratitude, a tendency to belittle, bully, and blame others, desire for revenge, persistence in the face of defeat, extreme self-will, self-trust, inability to take a joke, and compulsive criminality. Dr. Murray concluded that Hitler had these characteristics (and others) to an extreme degree and lacked the offsetting qualities that round out a balanced personality.

Psychologically, he had become aloof and lonely, confiding in no one and terminating any conversation abruptly if a disagreeable topic arose.

As the war progressed, he treated generals more as privates, and even those figures in his own headquarters ceased to have the influence with him they possessed formerly. Hitler began increasingly to meddle in the process of directing his field forces, countermanding orders of senior officers and reserving decisions for himself, even in the employment of battalions and brigades numbering a few hundred troops, while working from out-of-date reports and based in the far-distant Wolfsschanze.

The freedom of subordinate commanders to exercise their initiative, Aufstragstaktik (the doctrine of delegated tactical authority, loosely translated as ‘mission command’), which had been a hallmark of German successes during 1914–18 and 1939–42, was removed in favour of direct orders from Hitler. Quite junior officers were dismissed, reduced in rank or – in extremis – executed, if they were perceived to have disobeyed a Führerbefehl, whether or not such was the case. A typical Führer rebuke to a senior commander at this time was recorded: ‘There’s no need for you to try to teach me. I’ve been commanding the German army in the field for five years and during that time I’ve had more practical experience than any gentlemen of the General Staff could ever hope to have. I’ve studied Clausewitz and Moltke and read all the Schlieffen papers. I’m more in the picture than you are!’

But, of course, he wasn’t.

In 1943, the Allied forces wanted to understand Hitler's psychological makeup in order to predict, to the extent possible, his behavior as the Allies continued their prosecution of the war and to anticipate his response to Germany's defeat. The Allies were also seeking to understand the German national psyche to gain an understanding of how to convert them into a "peace-loving nation." This report was written for the OSS by Dr. Henry A. Murray, pre-war Director of the Harvard Psychological Clinic. Dr. Murray obviously was forced by circumstances to psychoanalyze his subject from a distance. He gathered information from a variety of second-hand sources, such as Hitler's genealogy; school and military records; public reports of events in print and on film; OSS information; Hitler's own writings; Hitler biographies; and "Hitler the Man - Notes for a Case History," an article written by W.H.D. Vernon under Dr. Murray's supervision. From these resources and his "needs theory" of personality, Dr. Murray created a psychological profile that correctly predicted the Nazi leader's suicide in the face of Germany's defeat. ebooks.library.cornell.edu/n/nur/analysis.php

You seem to be a bit of an expert on autism Frothy. Why is that?

I don't buy any of what you have posted. The OSS material would be wartime black propaganda of sorts and Caddick Adams writing more material to enforce the allied narrative that Hitler was the most evil man who ever lived.

Do Stalin and Lenin get this attention?

Or every Israeli Prime Minister since it's illegal formation?

Of course they don't. Why is that?

There's a big difference between enjoying putting on a performance, being the absolute
center of attention, and actually dealing with people in a normal manner.

Is this another mega melt down, frothy?

The third in a row now :O

His birthday party is over since long ... I'm so sorry you missed it!

WITH PREDICTIONS OF HIS FUTURE BEHAVIOR is the best part

Personal background

Henry Murray was born into a wealthy family in New York in 1893. He had an older sister and a younger brother. Carver and Scheier, in "Perspectives on Personality" p. 100, note that "he got on well with his father but had a poor relationship with his mother", resulting in a deep-seated feeling of depression. They hypothesize that the disruption of this relationship led Murray to be especially aware of people's needs and their importance as underlying determinants of behavior. At Harvard, he majored in history with a poor performance, but compensated with football, rowing and boxing. At Columbia University he did much better in medicine, completed his M.D. and also received an M.A. in biology, in 1919. For the next two years he was an instructor in physiology at Harvard. He received his doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge in 1928.

A turning point occurred in Murray's life at the age of 30: after seven years of marriage, he met and fell in love with Christiana Morgan but experienced serious conflict as he did not want to leave his wife, Josephine. This raised his awareness of conflicting needs, the pressure that can result, and the links to motivation. Carver and Scheier note that it was Morgan who was "fascinated by the psychology of Carl Jung" and it was as a result of her urging that he met Carl Jung in Switzerland. He described Jung as "The first full blooded, spherical — and Goethean, I would say, intelligence I had ever met." He was analyzed by him and studied his works. "The experience of bringing a problem to a psychologist and receiving an answer that seemed to work had a great impact on Murray, leading him to seriously consider psychology as a career" (J. W. Anderson). Jung's advice to Murray concerning his personal life was to continue openly with both relationships.

Harvard human experiments

From the fall of 1959 through the spring of 1962, Murray was responsible for the ethically questionable, CIA-sponsored MK ULTRA experiments in which twenty-two undergraduates were used as research subjects.[3][4] Among other purposes, Murray's experiments focused on measuring people's reactions under extreme stress. The unwitting undergraduates were submitted to what Murray himself called "vehement, sweeping and personally abusive" attacks. Assaults to their egos, cherished ideas and beliefs were the vehicle used to cause high levels of stress and distress. Among them was 16-year-old Ted Kaczynski, who went on to become the Unabomber, a serial killer targeting academics and technologists. [5] Alston Chase's book Harvard and the Unabomber: The Education of an American Terrorist connects Kaczynski's abusive experiences under Murray to his later criminal career.
"The truth must be repeated over and over again,
because error is repeatedly preached among us, not
only by individuals, but by the masses. In periodicals
and cyclopaedias, in schools and universities; every-
where, in fact, error prevails, and is quite easy in the
feeling that it has a decided majority on its side."

As debated as Hitler's physical medical issues may be, his mental health is a minefield of theories and speculation. This topic is very controversial, as many believe that if a psychological cause can be found for Hitler's behavior, there would be more reasoning behind his actions.

Waite, who authored an extensive psychohistory of Hitler, concluded that he suffered from borderline personality disorder, which manifested its symptoms in numerous ways and would imply Hitler was in full control of himself and his actions. Others have proposed he may have been schizophrenic[citation needed], based on claims that he was hallucinating and delusional during his last year of life. Many people believe that Hitler had a mental disorder and was not schizophrenic nor bipolar but rather met the criteria for both and that therefore he was most likely a schizoaffective. If true, this might be explained by a series of brief reactive psychoses in a narcissistic personality which could not withstand being confronted with reality (in this case that he was not the "superman" or "savior of Germany" he envisioned, as his plans and apparent early achievements collapsed about him). In addition, his regular methamphetamine use and possible sleep deprivation in the last, highly stressful period of his life must be factored into any speculation as to the cause of his possible psychotic symptoms as these two activities are known to trigger psychotic reactions in some individuals. However, Hitler never visited a psychiatrist, and under current methodology, any such diagnosis is speculation.

Michael Fitzgerald, an expert in autism spectrum disorders, concludes that Hitler suffered from, and met all the criteria of Asperger syndrome as documented by Hans Asperger.[7] As evidence of Asperger's Fitzgerald cites Hitler's poor sleep patterns, food fads, dislike of physical contact, inability to forge genuine friendships, and an emptiness in his human relations. His conversations in the Men’s Home in Vienna were really harangues and invited no reciprocity, for which he lacked this capacity. In Munich he was distant, self-contained, withdrawn and without friends. His comrades noted that he had no humanitarian feelings. He was obsessive and rarely made good or interesting company, except in the eyes of those who shared his obsessions or those in awe of, or dependent on him. He was single minded and inflexible. He spent a great deal of time with Albert Speer, examining architectural plans, and this remained a major focus of his life throughout. His other major interest was in the music of Wagner. His greatest interest, clearly, was in control over people and power over people.[8]

Fitzgerald further states that Hitler was an ideologue with unshakable convictions, and had a bed compulsion, which demands that the bed be made in a particular way with the quilt folded according to a prescribed pattern and that a man must make the bed before he could go to sleep. He did not use language for the purpose of interaction with others, but only for the purpose of dominating others. He endlessly engaged in long-winded and pedantic speeches, with "illogical arguments full of crude comparisons and cheap allusions."[8] He was unable to carry on a normal conversation or discussion with people. Even if only one other person was present, he had to do all the talking. His manner of speech soon loses any conversational qualities it might have had and takes on all the characteristics of a lecture that may easily develop into a tirade. He simply forgets his companions and behaves as though he were addressing a multitude, repeating the same stories over and over again in exactly the same form, almost as though he had memorised them. After the First World War "his awkward mannerisms" were noted. At that time he wore his gangster hat and trenchcoat over his dinner jacket, toting a pistol and carrying as usual his dog whip he cut a bizarre figure in the salons of Munich’s upper-crust. But his very eccentricity of dress and exaggerated mannerisms… saw him lionized by condescending hosts and fellow guests. In his early days he wore the Bavarian costume. His clothes were not clean; with his mouth full of brown, rotted teeth and his long fingernails he presented a rather grotesque figure. His gait was a very lady-like walk. Dainty little steps. Every few steps he cocked his right shoulder nervously

In 1943 Murray helped complete Analysis of the Personality of Adolph Hitler, commissioned by OSS boss William "Wild Bill" Donovan. The report was done in collaboration with psychoanalyst Walter C. Langer, Dr. Ernst Kris, New School for Social Research, and Dr. Bertram D. Lewin, New York Psychoanalytic Institute. The report used many sources to profile Hitler, including informants such as Ernst Hanfstaengl (hemp stem in German ;) )

Princess Stephanie von Hohenlohe (She was born a commoner of Jewish family background.)

Gregor Strasser (executed in 1934, during the "Night of the Long Knives")

Friedelinde Wagner, and Kurt Ludecke. The groundbreaking study was the pioneer of offender profiling and political psychology, today commonly used by many countries as part of assessing international relations.

In addition to predicting that Hitler would choose suicide if defeat for Germany was near, Murray's collaborative report stated that Hitler was impotent as far as heterosexual relations were concerned and that there was a possibility that Hitler had participated in a homosexual relationship. The report stated: "The belief that Hitler is homosexual has probably developed (a) from the fact that he does show so many feminine characteristics, and (b) from the fact that there were so many homosexuals in the Party during the early days and many continue to occupy important positions. It is probably true that Hitler calls Albert Forster "Bubi", which is a common nickname employed by homosexuals in addressing their partners."

Having returned to Harvard 1947, Murray lectured and established with others the Psychological Clinic Annex and was a chief researcher at Harvard. "The truth must be repeated over and over again,
because error is repeatedly preached among us, not
only by individuals, but by the masses. In periodicals

feeling that it has a decided majority on its side."

The point of view of An Aspergian
Was Adolf Hitler autistic?

People have been trying to understand Adolf Hitler for decades. All kinds of theories from being gay to being schizophrenic etc.

Well I have my own pet theory with facts to back it up. I think that Hitler was on the autistic spectrum. It explains a great many things both positive and negative not to mention neutral about him.

His unrelenting zeal for what he called his "mission". He did not smoke, drink nor gamble. He never apparently consummated his relationship with Eva Braun. He too focused on his goals.

This apparent lack of interest in her lead, I believe , some to mistakenly to conclude that he was gay. It is my supposition that like many on the spectrum he had very little sex drive. Anyone who is familiar with those on the spectrum, they could tell you that it is all about extremes.

When read some of his words. I took them seriously. He wrote how he studied jews and their faces. He remarked how he could not read their faces, nor intuit their emotions. He never studied non jews with such scrutiny. It was very unfortunate. Maybe he would realized it wasn't just jews that he could read.

One thing that has puzzled everybody that nobody ever offered an explanation for, was the fact Hitler had his hometown demolished and everybody killed. It is now overgrown forest. If you are on the spectrum, there could be many potential embarrassing stories as you are growing up. If he was on the spectrum, he might not have been able to control his bowels until 8 or 15. He might have made very embarrassing mistakes in dealings with the opposite sex as well.

When they were in the bunker at the end. It was observed that his hands shook. People surmised he must have been poisoned. Well the fact is, If he was under stress and autistic, He might have been just stimming.

No the MMR has not been around as long as Autism.

But he did want everyone to be the same, and different categories of people put into different lands ..'everything in it's rightful place' :yup:
You seem to be a bit of an expert on autism Frothy. Why is that?

I don't buy any of what you have posted. The OSS material would be wartime black propaganda of sorts and Caddick Adams writing more material to enforce the allied narrative that Hitler was the most evil man who ever lived.

Do Stalin and Lenin get this attention?

Or every Israeli Prime Minister since it's illegal formation?

Of course they don't. Why is that?

I'm not here to answer your questions.
No ... you're here as a Jewish troll to spread disinformation about the man who dared to stand up to the human pox of international jewry.

No I'm not religious in the slightest and thus have no religious faith.

I'm here to start threads and post on threads at my will.

I'm happy NSDAP lost the war, it makes me smile big time, almost as much as your sniveling about it does.

I don't know what you propose to be, if it's a Christian, I don't think 'Jesus' would approve of your behaviour, in fact all you are is a lonely and spiteful little twirp that exists on a forum, you repeat the same topic over and over like a scratched record, nothing new, nothing refreshing...

Hang on a minute ..... :wissl:

Only 35% of Jews are religious Frothy.

The Jewish homosexual pedophiles who control Hollywood are hardly messianic Jews are they?

The rest of your post is typical Jewish drivel
