4th C. Artifact Found in Spain Reveals Early Christians May Not Have Believed Christ Was a Jew

In 2012, a team of archeologists headed by Marcelo Castro of the Forum MMX excavation project unearthed a 4th century glass plate in southern Spain which depicts Jesus Christ and his disciples atypically as beardless with closely cropped heads:
One of the world’s earliest representations of Christ has been unearthed in southern Spain by a team of archaeologists, a glass plate which shines new light on the arrival of Christianity in Spain.

The green glass paten, the plate which holds the Holy Eucharist in churches, is the earliest depiction of Jesus found in Spain and is in excellent condition compared to similar pieces discovered around Europe.

“We know it dates back to the 4th century, in part because popes in the following centuries ordered all patens to be made out of silver,” Marcelo Castro, head of the Forum MMX excavation project, told The Local.

The team of archaeologists have so far managed to find 81 percent of the paten at the site of a religious building in Cástulo, an ancient Iberian town in the province of Jaén, Andalusia.

Measuring 22 centimetres in diameter, it shows three beardless men with short hair and halos over their heads.

According to Castro, the figures are Jesus and the apostles Paul and Peter as depicted in Christ in Majesty, an early Christian art form which copied Roman and Byzantine styles.

The Forum MMX team have been able to establish the paten was made in the 300s thanks to coins and ceramic objects found at the same site.

“We were wary about presenting the paten as a 4th century piece in case it clashed with previous studies into the chronology of Christianity in Spain,” Castro explained.

But their estimates coincide with the rule of Constantine, the first Roman emperor to claim conversion to Christianity, who also ensured the religion’s clandestine followers were no longer persecuted.

The paten was put on display on Wedneday at the Archaeological Museum of Linares (Jaén), alongside other ancient pieces such as a mosaic of Cupid (Mosaico de los Amores), unearthed in 2012 and named as one of the discoveries of the year by National Geographic.
It is remarkable that none of these so-called experts draw the most obvious conclusion from this early depiction of Christ and his followers — that whoever created this glass plate did not believe that Christ was a Jew. Had they truly believed that Christ were a Jew, He would have been depicted with a beard and long, unshorn hair, as all later depictions of him attest. The fact that he is beardless is not insignificant — the artisan who carved this glass icon depicted Jesus this way to make a religious statement about how early Spaniards saw Him.

Jews, and especially rabbis, did not shave their beards or cut their hair short — in their vain attempt to follow the rituals of The Law laid out in Leviticus. Had these early Spaniards believed that Christ was a jewish rabbi, as many of today’s misled Christians still believe, they would have most certainly depicted him with a beard.

And it’s highly doubtful that they would have depicted Christ without a beard simply because beards were not “fashionable” in 4th century Spain. To depict Christ without a beard would have been disrespectful and even blasphemous if these early Christians truly believed He was a Jew. Rather what we are seeing here is much more likely how early Christians understood Christ, and even more significantly, how Christ would have seen Himself.

If you look on the top right of the glass plate at about 10 mins past you will see the Greek depiction of the Alpha and the Omega.

There is also the two Equinoxes depicted by a figure on either side of the Meridian with another figure in the middle depicting the summer Solstice hense the Halo or Heli in Pheonician parlance, which is the same kind of solar science.

In red I have pointed towards a recorder or log, what you have here is a Mathamaticus or an astronomer who is recording the Autumnal Equinox, all parts are to do with Northern Hemisphere science, the Southern science was yet incomplete, when this was enabled the cross would be equelateral as In the Greek cross.

The figure on the left has its hand pointing directly towards the equinox and the other straight up, here we have the angle of the rising sun in March, IE, Cardo/hinge-Cardinal point.

Same anology here with the Autumn Equinox and the early device called a Moniometer/Cross slide which the ancient astronomer used to record the timing of the Equinoxes, here the cross is at a slight angle to depict the axial tilt looking towards the pole star.

A goniometer below

In this picture we also have clues to the origins of what it depicts

]

Firstly we have spring time and the lamb, IE, March time, or in the Latin VER, or Vernal Equinox.

Also the shepherds crook which is taken directly from the Egyptian symbol for Dominance, or in the Latin DOM, Domino-us.

Today the British Pound symbol is the exact same anology, and the crook is seen on the top part of the symbol of the matter and control is money, the elite used to have huge cere-monies whenever they minted new coins, hense the term Cere or Cearialia in the harvest or Autumnal equinox, also seen in the picture with the stacks of corn bottom right. Pomegranates was another often used, as in the red dots in those stacks.

£

And in the center of the crook the same Greek termination for the sun, Alpha & Omega.

There are none so blind as those who cannot see how the entire system is based upon many different parts of those who initiated our control all those Eons ago.

Bullshit story. For Jesus to have had long hair would have been a disgrace among the Jews.

So the logic that not having a beard would have been a disgrace is nonsense.

In any case, it is likely Jesus has short hair because why would Saint Paul say in Corinthians 11:14:

"Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him."

So yeah. A non-story. I think if anyone had knowledge of the Gospels then it would have been obvious that he was a Jew who was murdered by other Jews.

Of course if the people didn't read the gospels then he might as well been a space donkey from Arcturus. Jesus has no meaning without the words he spoke, his ministry.

Jesus was refereed to as a rabbi in scripture..but then rabbi was just a holy man or teacher.

I think its clear he followed the Torah according to scripture as thats what he advocated.

I think personally anyone who follows the OT like 10 commandments & believes in God the father is surely a Jew..the rest is a clique of those that reject Christ as the messiah.
Similar to Islam you have the Koran & then you have the Hadiths. Like the Talmud. They are the corporate fiction.

They invented the Jewish people & their religion.

Thats why I know someone who claims they are a Christian ask me a stupid question..prove Jesus was a Jew, tells me they havent read the bible & are trolling! So is tiring even bothering to reply..

What amuzes me is after all the god fearing gospel following banter none have realized after all the conjecture, that we are all human beings first, and to compartmentalize ourselves with labels and beliefs has not proved beneficial to those who argue the toss of who's god is better than the rest, therefore the fat controller tithe barns and manual has served its purpous well.

None are so blind that refuses to see mankind as his freind and neighbour and none will ever learn how to cherish what we all have under the same sun, apart from the ancient hunter gatherers who knew how to move when the seasons were not favourable, we stay put and rough things out, or die out grasping our crosses that serve no real purpous.

After all the wasted effort nobody can see that it is our labour that feeds the mythology, a mythology designed to feed those who preach but do none of the labour, it is so sad to see it directly, and very hard to put aside the ego that drives it.

I have given many visible evidences of where one can find the science behind it all and how we can all set ourselves free from this biblical madness but to no avail, herein is the power of the mind controllers in full view and the little children who follow their pied piper into a solid place where intuition is non existant.

And like any politician or prophet of their day they often jump ship to begin making greener pastures, only to begin extracting the labour of others by offering promises they cannot make good upon, its a pity that their modern counterparts are not treated the same way for giving so many people hopes that they know will never be honoured.

Can't you see that most believers will give their everything to live forever, life is so wonderful even to the poorest of natives who normally wear beaming smiles up unto the final moment, its all about understanding what life is all about and how much happiness can be gained by creating new life in our own right as nature has always done.

Its not about who is going to gain a trip on the heaven express which is mythology pure and simple, simply observe nature in spring time to see the phenomenon in full flow, all of these things are real, not in books with parable and codex that were designed to confuse and capture the minds eye, to burn into those minds fears that true nature does not recognize nor worship.

The clever part is enjoying life to the full without conflict, or violence towards those who want happiness, without taking sides, without harming anyone or their intellectual property, this is what life is all about, this kind of life cannot be found in books, but in life itself, life serving and preserving the rest of life.
