novum, you'll know about this stuff probably :D Do you know of any good free Photoshop style software things? I want to make a banner, for my blog, using different video game characters.

It has to be compatible with Windows 8 :chuckle:

hey there, been real busy, sorry for not replying earlier.

Frog had told me about GIMP a while back. I downloaded it and used it. Totally free.

Its a little complicated to use according to some, but ive found the trick is that anything i want to do, i google stuff, keywords of what i want to do, and i find how-to's/instructions, even youtube video tutorials made by a bunch of different people.

I havent got windows 8 but i found this thread, i think its compatible gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5586

I still use gimp, and still do searches when i cant figure out how to do something with it, and the answer is always out there. :hahano:

@Zax. Another vote for Gimp 2.8 here. Gimp does practically everything that Photoshop does as an image manipulation tool. Gimp is without a doubt the best open source equivalent to photoshop, and packed full of features. I use it for all my image editing/manipulation and resizing. I think the latest stable version for windows is GIMP 2.8.14, or for linux go Here.
