dvdflick comes bundled with imgburn (which writes an iso to a dvd) but there is a newer version of imgburn available

can i simply dete the imgburn folder in the dvdflick folder and cut and paste the folder of the newer version into the dvdflick folder?

failing that how do i get the newr version to install in the dvdflick folder (simply install it there seems the way to but will it overwrite the older version?)

Normally the installer will give you the option to change the path.

Have you tried uninstalling it and then running a reg cleaner? You probably are suffering from fragments of old registry entries or something.

You could try www.glarysoft.com/glary-utilities/ which has a reg cleaner among lots of other things. CCleaner is another but not as feature rich.

Do you mean that it doesn't give you the option to apply a custom path in Win7?

I use image burn and have done for years and it has always performed well. I haven't used the dvdflick though so I can't be much help on that score. You could ask on the official ImgBurn forum for some advice.

If you post links to the files you're using I could take a look on my win7 machine to see if I notice anything that may help.

I don't burn disks very often these days because I use nas servers and external hard drives, to store and move data about. I just mount virtual dvd images as and when I need to.
