Baroness Thatcher, the UK's first female prime minister, has died at the age of 87 following a stroke. As reaction continues to pour in from around the world, it is announced she will have a ceremonial funeral with military honours at St Paul's Cathedral, and Parliament is to be recalled for tributes.

I was just a kid in the Thatcher era, but knew from the adults around me, etc. that she wasn't too popular on Merseyside :chuckle:

I'm not glad, I'm not sad, nowt has changed. She was another puppet, other gits have replaced her over the years :hahano:

She wasn't popular in many quarters to say the least, certainly not in this part of the country....and with good reason too.
The reaction to the news of her death by the British Left has been quite extraordinary however....

Galloway's Tweet, shameful cheers at student conference and street parties: Left's sickening 'celebration' breaks out just minutes after Baroness Thatcher's death
Glasgow: More than 300 people attended impromptu street party
London: Over 100 people gathered in Brixton to 'celebrate'
MP George Galloway met with disgust after tweeting 'tramp the dirt down'
Facebook campaign to take 'Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead' to number one
Durham Miners' Association: Her death was a 'great day' for coal miners
NUS National conference reported to have cheered at news of her death

Champagne was flowing tonight as the Left took to the streets to celebrate the death of former Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
More than 300 people gathered in Glasgow city centre, while over 100 revellers amassed on the streets of Brixton, south London.
Within hours of her death, people had taken to micro blogging sites to organise the gatherings.
In Glasgow's George Square anti-capitalist campaigners shouted from loudspeakers, 'Maggie, Maggie, Maggie' as the crowd replied 'dead, dead, dead.

She wasn't "just another puppet". She was a fucking devil ridden leader of puppets, friend to paedos, liars and thieves, murderer of thousands of "lesser beings". She had no strings to be pulled.... she did the pulling. Demonic bitch! May every particle of her be scattered throughout the many Universes. Even HELL is too good for her!

There must have been someone above her mustn't there? I thought they were all the same really, the left/right paradigm and all that.
Either way the bedroom tax is still here, etc. :chuckle:

Personally, I think this rabid reaction from the left....the street parties, the calls (from politicians ffs not just the 'public) to dance on her grave etc etc, is wrong. Its undignified and lowers those doing it.

Plus, most of the people taking part in it aren't old enough to have 'been there' anyway. I suspect they're just jumping on the bandwagon...

It's kind of expected IMO... the left/right paradigm in action. Akin to cheering a Punch and Judy show... sort of... or not :D

She was before my time though really, my little brain couldn't comprehend the suffering she caused.

Life goes on, and we're still in the shit and sinking deeper with this government and it's masters.

Well, three days on & the British MSM seems to be on a mission to portray Margaret Thatcher as being some sort of national hero who will go down in history as a great statesperson blah blah blah.

 What a crock. Loss of credibility much....?

I remember the good old days, when 90+ year olds in nursing homes lived forever. Darn this pesky virus.

They'd have to employ a team of cleaners, but at least Thatcher would be creating jobs :chuckle:

If they do then, like the statues of Stalin, Saddam Hussein and many others before, it will simply be pulled down and destroyed some day.

Seriously, they won't put a statue of her up.

I know the idea has been banded about in the media, but its just not going to happen. It would be a farcical step too far even for these mad times.

Hi Wildhorse. It's lovely to see you posting here again. :)

My higher self is truly grateful to see such a dank deposit of evil leave this planet. She did nothing but harm to huge swathes of community and her "legacy" continues to this day. It will take such time to clear her negativity out of those who were born into it and still believe not caring about anyone but the Self is the best thing.

There are others who need to be removed - and sooner, rather than later - and I will be grateful to see them and their influence go too.

I firmly believe that Thatcher was "allowed" to live on as a genuine punishment upon her. In some strange way, she actually got to endure what she created - family breakdown (her beloved son and overlooked daughter had little if anything to do with her in the last decade/s - they had "got on their bikes" and built themselves lives far from her); her Iron Lady persona was well and truly destroyed; she was totally dependent on the care of others - who formed part of The Society she avowed no longer existed.

Still, she had it better than most of her age.

She is a portal of evil removed, and I am truly grateful for that.

:D

Again, I agree Wildhorse. At the end, what they want most of all is that hallowed, golden place in History - and to see that being destroyed before they go must be a knock indeed.
