'Some 7,000 armed police with heavy vehicles have surrounded and blocked the Incirlik air base in Adana used by NATO forces, already restricted in the aftermath of a failed coup. Unconfirmed reports say troops were sent to deal with a new coup attempt.'

From rt link above...
On Thursday, a huge rally marched towards the NATO base, as people with loudspeakers chanted anti-American and anti-Israel slogans.

The demonstrators claim that the US had a hand in the failed July 15 coup attempt in which 270 people died. Tens of thousands people, including members of the military, police, judiciary, media, and civil service, have been arrested in connection with the coup, which Turkish officials say was organized by US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, Erdogan’s former ally, who is now his most hated rival.

From wiki
According to some commentators, Gülen is to Erdogan what Trotsky was to Stalin. Ben Cohen wrote: "Rather like Leon Trotsky, the founder of the Soviet Red Army who was hounded and chased out of the USSR by Joseph Stalin, Gulen has become an all-encompassing explanation for the existential threats, as Erdogan perceives them, that are currently plaguing Turkey. Stalin saw the influence of “Trotskyite counter-revolutionaries” everywhere, and brutally purged every element of the Soviet apparatus. Erdogan is now doing much the same with the “Gulenist terrorists.”

Odd that not to many news channels are carrying this story? You would think it is a bigger issue than they are giving it credit for?

Possibly because those savages don't merit mention. Turkey should never have been so empowered by NATO in the first place. You reap what you sow.

I tend to think it's more b/c the western zio force controls msm.
The failed coup prompted Erdagon's desire for self preservation, I think he knew the zio west wanted to replace him - so he marshaled the country against it - and had his pro - zio list drawn up .
The west got routed at their own game, the majority of Turks' supported with their own leader , having seen what following the west's dictates have brought - war with Syria , a ton of refugees., whilst refusing Merkle's / nato's demands .
The carrot was free movement to EU - the price was handing over it's sovereignty to the zionist jews and these muslims knew it. .
Turkey knows it was used against Syria , that geographically their security lies in peace and trade ( pipeline construction ) with Russia , not being pushed to make it their enemy .
The western ZOG's want to destablize the west itself and thought Turkey was in their pocket ......... so this is nato's attempt to regain position on the basis of taking back the nuclear base .
It's a bit of a stand-off that nato lose again ....... dodgy one this - zog's aren't used to losing..
What Erdagon will do with the pro western element he's rounded up , mass expulsion ? and hopefully a light hand with the lower rank that took part in the coup.

No msm - I but not - Turkey's gone rogue on the west and they totally want to play it down until normal service can be resumed.

Plenty of news reports about this, depends on which countries press your reading as to the spin on it ;)

Turkish officers surround Incirlik air base
Some 7,000 officers surround base used by NATO forces amid reports of a new coup attempt. Government insists it was a "security check

ome 7,000 police officers in heavy vehicles overnight Saturday surrounded the Incirlik air base in Turkey, which is used by NATO forces in Adana, in what a Turkish minister called a “security check”, Russia Today reports.

While there was no official explanation for the move, the Turkish daily Hurriyet reported earlier that Adana police had been tipped off about a new coup attempt, and forces were immediately alerted.

The entrance to the base was closed off, noted Russia Today.

Security forces armed with rifles and armored TOMA vehicles used by Turkish riot police could be seen at the site in photos taken by witnesses.

Turkey’s minister for EU affairs downplayed the situation , saying a “security inspection” was carried out.

“We did the general security check. There is nothing wrong,” he said, according to Russia Today.

The United States had in the past used the Incirlik air base as a place from which to launch manned airstrikes against the Islamic State (ISIS) group, as part of the international coalition fighting the group in Iraq and Syria.

Saturday night's move by Turkey comes two weeks after a failed coup in Turkey, following which President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a three-month state of emergency.

As he announced the state of emergency, Erdogan warned there "may be more plans" from dissidents to try and overthrow the government again.

Bit of a different spin from this news agency, but near enough

US Base In Turkey On Lockdown, As Rumors Of Another Coup Swirl

Entrances and exits to the U.S. airbase at Incirlik were closed by Turkish police Saturday, Hurriyet, one of Turkey’s major newspapers, has reported.

The report came after pictures circulated on twitter showing Turkish police sealing off the airbase. Incirlik is a critical U.S. airbase for air operations against the Islamic State, and houses several U.S. nuclear weapons.

Secular elements of the Turkish military attempted a coup against Erdogan July 15, alleging the Turkish president was amassing too much power and becoming too Islamist. Erdogan publicly criticized Friday the head of U.S. military operations in the Middle East, after he told an audience at the Aspen Foundation that many of U.S. military’s allies in the Turkish military had been imprisoned.

After the failed coup, Turkey cut power to Incirlik airbase for nearly a week, deeply worrying the U.S. military. Dr. Michael Rubin, a middle east expert at the American Enterprise Institute, previously told The Daily Caller News Foundation that the Turkish government’s actions were akin to taking Incirlik airbase “hostage.”...Cont

Turkey said to thank Israel for its support during coup attempt

Normalization of bilateral ties will continue apace, Israeli official says after speaking with Turkish counterpart

Turkey thanked Israel for its stance during this past weekend’s failed coup attempt and will continue with the process of normalizing ties, a senior Israeli official said Sunday following talks with a Turkish counterpart.
The Israeli official said an unnamed senior Turkish figure voiced Turkey’s appreciation for Israel’s “messages” during the uncertain hours of the attempt....Cont

Israel, Turkey strike deal to normalize ties

Jerusalem (CNN)Israel and Turkey have reached a deal to normalize diplomatic relations, six years after an Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla left eight Turks and an American citizen of Turkish origin dead.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim announced Monday that the deal, set to be signed Tuesday, includes a $20 million compensation fund for Turkish families, an eventual return of ambassadors and initial talks on a possible natural gas pipeline.
Under the deal, Turkey will end all criminal or civil claims against Israeli military personnel and the State of Israel following the 2010 Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound Turkish aid flotilla that left nine people dead, Netanyahu said at a press conference in Rome where officials hammered out the agreement............Cont

Spot of sabre rattling by the Turks.
They're in NATO so hardly likely to open fire on a NATO base.
Official story will be "We were protecting the base against possible insurgents."
Actual message is...
" Look what we can do should we want to."
NATO will bung the Turkish Government some more cash promise not to ask any embarrassing questions and then it'll all settle down.

yeah - ent - everything looks hunky dory -

US Base In Turkey On Lockdown, As Rumors Of Another Coup Swirl

no doubt you believe msm - and thanking Israel  is just playing with game ..... geez the whole of Congress / Senate ask which cheek to kiss. :wissl: :larf:

but what would one expect from our resident nato goon

the truth is this is the zio's worst geo-political failure to date .....it's forced Erdagon into the Russia / China axis but what with perhaps half the military being Gaulanist with many Institutions riddled with pro west / cia / ......... the west is looking very guilty of ' regime change' to me . If anything will help stop the war ( and refugee's ) it's for Turkey to stop doing the west's bidding .
What surprises me is that he's resisting Washington his hands aren't clean of isis Syrian oil money ..... this is probably the most crucial deal going down today anywhere . ( with the exception of the global trade agreements and Merle being Germany's cultural boomer )

The oligarch's haven't finished the Turkey yet but when the people resist things happen .

NOT this time - Turks won't be bought off ..... they see their future with the east - who knows perhaps even THIS is contrived ? as the war with Syria turns a corner ? The long term game is always different from the current picture . However, I doubt the zio's want to lose control of Turkey and their bid to oust Assad -.........................
