One of the high points in our set was the manic performance of a track called The Moon Illusion - inspired by an episode of The Sky at Night in which Patrick Moore took a bunch of student types down to Brighton Beach and asked them to pick up a pebble that would just cover the Moon held at arms length. The Moon was full and on the Horizon. Some of you may have noticed while out romancing that the Moon when close to the horizon looms large. Consequently we had students (and remember this was BEFORE fluoride ) picking up half bricks, saying 'give us a hand' with this etc.In fact a tiny pebble is all that is required

This optical phenomenon is called The Moon Illusion

appendix
The only lyrics I can remember now are
'perigee apogee how will it affect me'
and the odd line
'all Creamola and round'
plus of course the punch line...
