It's funny how the media only ever seem to show isolated residential property that has apparently burnt to the ground (usually still smoldering). Surely the (highly explosive) gas storage and pipeline infrastructure would be much more of a concern? :ponda:

Those tracks look like the aftermath of earth tremors, not heat buckling. Heat doesn't effect horizontal forces.

Does too, www.businessinsider.com/why-train-tracks-buckle-in-extreme-heat-2013-7?r=US&IR=T
When temperatures rise, steel tracks will expand, meaning they get longer. Heat-related expansion places a lot of stress on the ties, ballasts, and rail anchors that keep the tracks fixed to the ground. Eventually, the tracks will buckle under the force. These are called "sun kinks." It makes the tracks look like spaghetti.

In the photo above, taken on July 24, 1978, extremely warped rail tracks in New Jersey led to the derailment of a passenger car, which can be seen in the background.

Did those racks bend on their own or when the train travelled over them, causing deflection of the slightly softened steel?
Or, at what temperature does stell require to reach before it can be formed? That sort of heat would have vaporised the surrounding brush and the A/C on the train would have been ineffective.

I've already posted the description of how it occurred, heat expansion and stress on the fixings.

Apparently this is heat buckling (less severe than the previous image) in Ireland.

It;s quite a common occurrence during heatwaves.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpine_National_Park

The Alpine National Park is a national park located in the Central Highlands and Alpine regions of Victoria, Australia. The 646,000-hectare (1,600,000-acre) national park is located northeast of Melbourne.

In winter much of the area is snow-covered and only accessible on skis. Mount Hotham and Falls Creek are ski resorts adjacent to the national park from where back-country skiers journey into the park to areas such as the Bogong High Plains and Mount Bogong.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has been caught fudging figures and rounding up.

The CSIRO is a cabal funded operation, its even had former Rothschild bankers heading it.

Meanwhile, away from TV and fake media land, many people are realizing its incessantly cold for many days of the year and especially nights.

Frothys being a bit of a Sabbatean Frankist on this one. :brewing:

Or he's just being a sneaky beta male to get some liberal single mums who believe in Rothschilds global warming pootang.

If its the latter then fair play... going after the gullible ones, well played frothmeister.
