Harassment of employees who are ill and unable to attend work.
Bearing in mind, most company sickness rules require the employee to phone in EVERYDAY during the sickness period ..why? Is one phone call stating sickness and when employee will be back at work not enough?!
Employee is unwell ffs, unable to carry out duties, needs time to recover NOT chatting on the phone everyday with updates!

Another thing, is it really necessary for employers to bombard sick employee with phone calls and emails " hope you're getting better, have you improved? We're really missing you, do you think you can manage to come in sooner?" - COVERT HARASSMENT!!!

Plan on being relieved if your sick often. Sick for more than 3 days around here, you must have a doctors release at many places of business.

I'm aware of doctors note procedure after first 3 days, but the first 3 days are filled with company harassment! Especially if you have a good record :roll:

I've never heard of the harassment tho.

You could always drop in to give them an update, cough and sneeze all over them, leave .... then when you're better and back at work you'll have the place to yourself as everybody else will be off sick.

Employers hate their employees going sick, and have always had a Stasi approach to keep tabs on them when they're out of work sick. Heck you can't even go to a job interview these days without the employee probing on the more personal questions with a view to checking your social media page like Twatter and farcebook etc, just to check what company you keep, and perhaps get a peep into any Political leanings you may have. Any non PC views held are a definite no no in today's Job environment, regardless of how well qualified and experienced you are to do the job. It's madness.
