Must be some Rotten child...ehh Rothschild, not the Malinese king of the OP.

Nothing wrong with wealth, by the way, that is only for envious "social"ists to hate.
Something wrong with immorally obtained wealth, that's for sure.

Time is money so...We should all be a bit wealthier.
More time to relax and enjoy.
No way does material wealth buy happiness.

Trite but true that one of the most miserable guys I know is minted.
He's seldom still and never satisfied, forever jetting abroad to do deals.
Nice home, lovely garden but if you ask him about it he says " Ask the gardener." cos he never gets time to sit in it.

"We should all"? If people do good work they will get wealthier. If they're not robbed by the State and/or kept in condescending carrousels like the "welfare" system, that is...

Can you decide that? Maybe for other people it does. I am not into big consumerism at all, but I like to travel a lot and take 5-6 holidays per year on average. That costs money, but imo it's well spent. Others do not want to travel and spend it on clothes, iPhones of 800 dollars :iitm: and other stuff. That's their decision, I am not in the position to decide that for them.

Is he the only example? Sure, there are some of those money-addicted non-living organisms around, but why should his "example" be the norm and thus a reason to say that people shouldn't get richer.

When you say "people should get all a bit more wealth" and in the same post criticise someone who does that, I don't get what you want...

Fair comment and I'm not using my chum as a representative example.
Some rich people must be well happy.
Others not so much.
Per capita poor people sure have more money worries than rich peeps.
My, poorly made; point was that, to me 'wealth' is much more than having a load of money.
We can't buy good health albeit a sick rich person can pay for private medical care.
We get 'free' medical care in the UK anyhow.
To me, personal time and being free and healthy enough to enjoy that is to be 'rich'.
Good luck to anybody who takes lots of holidays.
We 'retired' to the place where we used to come for holidays so, these days; we tend to stay home more than we travel.

No but lack of it buys misery

It's there to cover the news up

First, they are accepted as being self evident
Second, they are exposed by diligent research
Third, they are enforced

Don't agree with you there Rodin.
Potless people can be as much, if not more content; than some who are rich.
Maybe it's about desire or lack of it for material wealth.
We can't miss what we've never had for example.
I don't envy anyone who is super rich good luck to 'em and if I won big on the lottery I'd be chuffed.
So far nada.
Contentment is more important IMO.
