Okay- so this is my 3rd attempt to start this thread  ...so I'll be doing more cutting and pasting than typing.

Warning: potential movie spoilers; proceed with caution.

Lately, I've been interested in cube symbolism. Specifically, the idea of the cube representing a sort of prison that is "life on Planet Earth". I recently watched Jim Henson's experimental short, "The Cube". It was both profound & funny(but not exactly profoundly funny :P ). It seems to be hinting at the whole idea of "life is a prison for the soul"...at least that's what it seems. I do wonder if a cube is just a symbol or if there is actually some sort of unseen cube encasing our reality in this life; keeping us from ascending...trapping our spirits to be slaves, repeating life in the cube over and over...anyway, rambling! Back to Henson's The Cube!

It's just under an hour and well worth the watch. There is a song that really lays out the message...

'There are places that contain you
There are corners in your soul
Plastic laminations in your life
But when you're on the inside of the outside of your strife
Well do you stray or stay yourself?

Now the inside of this new place is the outside of the fog
But you can only face your space in one way
Your really in the middle of the inside of yourself
And there is only one thing we can say..

Chorus:
You'll never get out X2
You'll never get out of the cube!
You'll never get X2
You'll never get out 'til your dead, dead, dead!'

Now, also very recently but before watching the Henson production; I watched a short video with Neil Degrasse Tyson. He's explaining higher dimensions:

NDGT: Okay, so imagine an insect that's trapped in a sheet of paper. That's two dimensions, right? And, I want to put that insect in jail. What do you do? Just draw a square around it. Can't get out. You say, "yes you can! Just climb up over this--" Nope. Not allowed. That requires a third dimension. If you only exist in two dimensions, you have no concept of that third dimension. It's not even accessible to you. All it takes to put a bug in prison is a square. What does it take to put a human in prison? A cube! But a higher dimensional character would say, "just step out of the cube, and then back into-- You're there!" That requires a fourth dimension to access.

Here's hoping the link to the video works! :spliff:

There is also the 90's scifi cult classic, Cube...

Spoiler alert!

I remember at the end, the only survivor was the "idiot savant" who was a math wiz. He is seen walking into light...the ending is vague but reminiscent of death and the tunnel of light. Since he solved the cube...perhaps that is a metaphor for enlightenment. Enlightenment + Death= The way out of the cube! Maybe... :dunno:

There's a van or bus in novum's picture too (at post #3) with W.B. Mason on it too. :O

seen a couple squares, "cubes" sitting around before, always tilted too... never gave it much thought before, but it is a bit odd how they put those out and they always seem to be tilted.

a cube could represent a 3-dimensional area, i think that's what they use in some science to represent it anyway... you got points inside the flat areas and a center to it, so on and so forth... can't really explain what i am thinking, would have to draw it, there are no words really.
I don't like to think before I speak.
I like to be just as surprised as everyone else by what comes out of my mouth.

The kaaba, many synagogues here in Germany, almost all new public buildings, black, dark, without or only with tiny windows, concrete and steel, disgusting and an insult to the eye of a human, like the uncountable monuments for the BIG LIE all over this planet.

I've only just watched "The Cube" KayDee. Wow, what a mindfuck!

That line "You'll never get out [of the Cube]" from the song reminds me of a dream I had once. I was running through these long, white hallway corridors feeling lost and trapped. It was brightly lit with those long fluorescent tube light bulbs like they use in hospitals. This voice in my head [in the dream] said "You'll never get out of this place" and it was just real freaky!! Felt like it was telling me that I was trapped in Life itself. Some kind of perpetual cycle that I'd never escape. I was never so glad to wake up and realize that it was just a dream!!! :nilly:

Thanks for posting this, lots to think about!!

"The box is itself more than just a key to a doorway to hell; the box is a masterfully
constructed puzzle box. It is the embodiment of forbidden knowledge;
a secret that can only be solved through obsession.
With it's secrets solved and it's pieces in final place the puzzle
reveals something that was not evident before - the reality of hell."

- Isadore Klauski "Of Hell" 1928, Leviathan Press

LeMarchand's first and arguably most classic, puzzle construct.
Its complexity was managed by expanding on the design of a similar box
designed and constructed by Albertus Magnus in the thirteenth century.
When operated properly, a pleasing melody issues from within which
belies its true nature.

- excerpted from "Tucker's Encyclopedia of Mass Murderers" -

"Each box is unique for each person, a different puzzle requiring a different solution,
a solution that is a ritual. It can never be easy to solve the box; it is something someone
has to work at, and something someone has to want."

- excerpted from "Bolinger's Encyclopedia of the Occult" -

While looking up information about high rise flats (ref another thread on this site), I found this "growing" in Birmingham:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cube_(building)

It's a phase in the refurbishment of "The Mailbox", which will include apartments for the affluent.

Those who have been with me for years, probably already understand what the meaning of the new addition is, but this project will show you what the enemy is after and is trying to accomplish! Is the cube a representation of a hexagram?

If so, that opens up a whole other area of exploration and information.

Lets look at it from another perspective....

"Upon examination, the geometry of the Kaaba stone reveals a sun cross in the shape of a cube. This same geometry can be seen on the north pole of the planet Saturn. Nimrod\Marduk was worshiped as Satan at Babel (Genesis 10-11) where the Chaldean mystery religion of Babylon began. Interestingly, an aerial photo of Muslims worshiping at the Kaaba Stone distinctly resembles the planet Saturn with its rings."

Kaaba Stone and 3D Cube

"Nimrod was known as the god of the Chaldean Mysteries. In the Chaldean mysteries, the Babylonian dictator Nimrod was deified as Saturn. Satan and Saturn are the same words, one 'Early Latin' and the other 'Late Latin'...

Saturn and Mystery are both Chaldean words, and they are correlative terms. As Mystery signifies the hidden system, so Saturn signifies the hidden god."
