Has anyone else noticed how our collective national sporting representatives are no longer referred to as the "British", "English", "Welsh", or "Irish" teams? Instead we have a transposition in which nationality is a secondary attribute. The primary significant attribute is the "team", nationality is an afterthought. Nation comes from the Latin root "natio", by birth. A nation is a territory occupied by a people born on that territory whose claim to that territory is based on ancestral precedence. A "team" is any arbitrary, fluid, collective, brought together to undertake a temporary objective, which pretty much dovetails with the neo-liberal view of civic societies peopled by interchangable populations of citizens, bound together by nothing more than a few platitudes and a shared animalistic grubbing scrabble for vulgar materialistic fullfilment.

"Team GB" is nothing more than biological denialism couched in the ignorant language of corporate wankspeak; a shameless attempt to insinuate the brave new multicultural liberal concept of social organization into the public consciousness through the base medium of sports and mass enteratinment. I choose not to be a corporate drone. I am the inheritor of the greatest civilization on the face of the earth, the descendant of an unbroken and unrivaled chain of genius going back to the Aurignacian stone age. I am living in my ancestral lands, practicing a culture based on the creative genius of my ancestors and I want to be represented on the sporting field by people who share my ancestry and culture, rather than by a polyglot, here today gone tomorrow, collective of corporate, civic Nu-Britons.

Fuck team-GB, and GB, PLC. Long live the misty shores of Albion.

Isn't this shit pissing anyone else off?

The whole concept of the power and meaning of words isn't understood by many people (by design). The deliberate misuse and abuse of language is a major factor in how we have been tricked into the situations we find ourselves today.

These changes aren't the result of an organic/dynamic development of language as it evolves through common usage among people and groups. This is a calculated manipulation from the top down with very profound and far reaching effects. Peoples perceptions and understandings get turned inside out, by these subtle virtually undetectable twists that bury themselves into the psyche.

The MSM is the worst offender as they continually come up with new terms to change concepts that people would otherwise not find acceptable. For example they use the term combatants to turn civilians into viable military targets whether they are armed or not.

Politics is another area that abuses language to mask the real intents and purposes of legislation. The reason being that people would not accept these proposals if the commonly and well understood terms and language were used. It's deliberate deception and it all springs from PR and Marketing strategies which have become political weapons.

Once the media adopt the new term they bombard people with it's use and within a very short time it gains acceptance as something people think they understand. Global Warming morphs into Climate Change and we now have carbon foot prints etc. These terms are gross generalisations that lack any real discernible meaning, and yet people willingly apply them to any number of related ideas under these catch all terms.

It's sickening to watch how easily people fall for these deceptive linguistic and intellectual devices.

"Whenever you're in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude." William James

"The purpose of Newspeak was not only to provide a medium of expression for the world-view and mental habits proper to the devotees of IngSoc, but to make all other modes of thought impossible. Its vocabulary was so constructed as to give exact and often very subtle expression to every meaning that a Party member could properly wish to express, while excluding all other meaning and also the possibility of arriving at them by indirect methods. This was done partly by the invention of new words, but chiefly by eliminating undesirable words and stripping such words as remained of unorthodox meanings, and so far as possible of all secondary meaning whatever"

"Labeling theory is the theory of how the self-identity and behavior of individuals may be determined or influenced by the terms used to describe or classify them. It is associated with the concepts of self-fulfilling prophecy and stereotyping. Labeling theory holds that deviance is not inherent to an act, but instead focuses on the tendency of majorities to negatively label minorities or those seen as deviant from standard cultural norms.[1] The theory was prominent during the 1960s and 1970s, and some modified versions of the theory have developed and are still currently popular. Unwanted descriptors or categorizations - including terms related to deviance, disability or diagnosis of a mental disorder - may be rejected on the basis that they are merely "labels", often with attempts to adopt a more constructive language in its place. A stigma is defined as a powerfully negative label that changes a person's self-concept and social identity"

The sick game continues to this day.And people's caree are ruined if they are not up to par with the latest pc terminology. If on says negroes instead of blacks or African- [insert nation] the media hounds them untiln alogy is issued and reparations paid, and even then a job is the price in the end.A crippled perosus be called physically-challended or handicapped. And on and on the list goes.Even the names of sports teams have been changed for allegedly offending a minority group.
