Abraham Lincoln.

The 16th President of the United States - Racial passing occurs when a person classified as a member of one racial group is accepted as a member of a racial group other than their own. During the antebellum period, passing as white was a means of escaping slavery. People also chose to pass for good during Jim Crow and beyond. The US actor Iron Eyes Cody, who was of Sicilian descent, developed a niche in Hollywood by playing roles of Native Americans.
Black Soldier.

African-Americans as slaves and free blacks served on both sides during the war. Black soldiers served in Northern militias from the outset, but this was forbidden in the South, where slave-owners feared arming slaves. The Black Pioneers were commanded, for a time, by Major James Moncrief of the Royal Engineers. During the War of 1812, about one-quarter of the personnel in the American naval squadrons of the Battle of Lake Erie were black,Commodore Barney on being asked by President James Madison "if his negroes would not run on the approach of the British?" replied: "No Sir…they don't know how to run; they will die by their guns first - Sulfur is a chemical element with the symbol S and atomic number 16.

The 36th United States Colored Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War..The history of African Americans in the U.S. Civil War is marked by 186,097 (7,122 officers, 178,975 enlisted) African-American men, comprising 163 units, who served in the Union Army during the Civil War, and many more African Americans served in the Union Navy. Both free African Americans and runaway slaves joined the fight - On the Confederate side, blacks, both free and slave, were used for labor. In the final months of the war, the Confederate Army was desperate for additional soldiers so the Confederate Congress voted to recruit black troops for combat; they were to be promised their freedom. Units were in training when the war ended, and none served in combat - In the Bible, sulfur is called brimstone, which means burning stone.

The Big 22.
Red Tails (2012) Lucasfilm Official Trailer.

The US entered World War II with a military that was segregated by race. War Department planners generally placed White and African-American Army personnel in separate units during World War II. In 1944, as the air war over Europe enters a deadly phase with increasing losses of Allied bombers, the 332d Fighter Group (the Tuskegee Airmen) consisting of young African-American USAAF fighter pilots, after enduring racism throughout their recruitment and training in the Tuskegee training program, are finally sent into combat in Italy. Meanwhile, Bullard secures a chance to "light up the board" when the Tuskegee Airmen are chosen to support the Allied landings at Anzio, Italy known as Operation Shingle. A landscape architect is a person who is educated in the field of landscape architecture.
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - The Andrews Sisters.

The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of African-American military pilots (fighter and bomber) who fought in World War II. They formed the 332nd Fighter Group constituted on 4 July 1942 and the 477th Bombardment Group (established in May 1943 at MacDill Field, Florida) of the US Army Air Forces. The Tuskegee Airmen initially were equipped with Curtiss P-40s, briefly with Bell P-39 Airacobras (March 1944), later with Republic P-47 Thunderbolts (June–July 1944), and finally with the aircraft with which they became most commonly identified, the North American P-51 Mustang. On 5 May 1944, possibly out of fear of a repeat of the previous summer's race riot in nearby Detroit, the 477th was abruptly relocated to Godman Field on Fort Knox in Kentucky. They operated with the 15th Air Force, being engaged primarily in protecting bombers that struck such objectives as oil refineries, factories, airfields, and marshaling yards. They also made successful strafing attacks on airdromes, railroads, highways, bridges, river traffic, troop concentrations, radar facilities, power stations, and other targets. Landscape architecture practices the fine art of relating the structure of culture to the nature of landscape.

Spit is an old English word that archaeologists continue to use - During World War II, African-Americans formed 10 per cent of US Army servicemen in Britain, a total of about 150,000 in 1944 - On the evening of Saturnday 15 July approximately 400 black GIs gathered in the area of Park Street. Some of them were accompanied by white British women and a US military policeman stopped them - Spit Point is the east tip of the 5-nautical-mile (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) long Elephant Spit, a conspicuous spit at the eastern end of Heard Island. The MPs tried to disarm some of them who had knives. The black soldiers refused to hand them over, their colleagues intervened and in the resulting confrontation one policeman was stabbed and his attacker shot dead. The MPs restored control by closing off the street with buses and shooting several GIs in the legs. Many black GIs were arrested and several were sent to the local hospital. A curfew was established in Bristol for many days afterward - Rotisserie, also known as spit-roasting, is a style of roasting where meat is skewered on a spit – a long solid rod used to hold food while it is being cooked over a fire in a fireplace or over a campfire, or roasted in an oven. A barbecue can refer to the cooking method itself. Come on, Gonorrhea, as a fellow Italian you should know that ...

The Negrow Soldier

Film poster.

During World War II, Nazi Germany threatened to take over Europe, North Africa and the Near East. The United States Army was looking for men to enlist. Although the U.S. army was officially committed to practicing segregation, they looked to African Americans to add manpower to the group. Social scientists of the time argued that the mass media were the best method of instilling a message within people and pushing them to act towards a common goal. To further stress the importance of fighting against the Nazis, the Preacher begins to read from the “gospel according to Hitler”. At this time he quotes from Hitler's book Mein Kampf, "...You grilled me pretty hard, as I recall, on the bureau's civil rights record in the Hoover years.

Is this Lecter's handwriting? I don't know.Is it Captain Howdy?

Negron, in a flashback, tells of his war experiences as a young corporal of the segregated 92nd Infantry Division in Italy, late 1944 during the Gothic line phase of the Italian campaign. The Italian Mediterranean breed of water buffalo is of the River sub-type and is similar to the breeds of Hungary, Romania and the Balkan countries. A disastrous attack ensues on German positions across the Serchio River - A Ukrainian vessel carrying 30 T-72 tanks is captured by pirates 200 miles off Somalian coast.
Miracle at St. Anna clip.

The Buffalo Soldiers Division divisional nickname was inherited from the 366th Infantry, one of the first units of the division organized. During the 92nd Division's participation in the Italian Front, they made contact with units of many nationalities: beyond the attached 442nd Regimental Combat Team (442nd RCT), they also had contact with the segregated troops of the British and French colonial empires (Black Africans, Moroccans, Algerians, Indians, Gurkhas, Arab and Jewish Palestinians) as well as with exiled Poles, Greeks and Czechs, anti-fascist Italians and the nonsegregated troops of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force. The division's commander, Major General Almond, was for a time highly regarded by General George Marshall, the U.S. Army Chief of Staff, who was a fellow Virginia Military Institute graduate. The Buffalo 10-centimetre platform model 1310-2 was made famous by British girl band the Spice Girls. Its headquarters are in Hochheim am Main, Germany.

14yo George Stinney Executed True Story.

In 1944, George Junius Stinney, Jr. lived in Alcolu, Clarendon County, South Carolina with his father, George Stinney Sr., mother Aimé, brothers John, 17, and Charles, 12, and sisters Katherine, 10, and Aimé, 7. George Sr. worked at the town's sawmill, and the family resided in company housing. Alcolu was a small, working-class mill town, where white and black neighborhoods were separated by railroad tracks - 2 young white girls, 11-year-old Betty June Binnicker and 7-year-old Mary Emma Thames, were found dead found in a ditch in the company mill town of Alcolu, South Carolina, in March, after they had failed to return home the night before. As they passed the Stinney property, they had asked young George Stinney and his sister, Aime, if they knew where to find "maypops", a local name for passion flowers. The girls were last seen riding their bicycles looking for flowers. Historically, the plant has been used as an herbal medicine in the belief it may treat anxiety, insomnia, or hypertension. The senior George Stinney helped in the search. Police arrested George Stinney, as a suspect. They said that he confessed to the crime to them. There was no written record of his confession apart from notes provided by an investigating deputy. The girls had been beaten with a weapon, variously reported as a piece of blunt metal or a railroad spike. Stinney's trial had an all-white jury, as was typical of the time.

Japanese War Bride.

Release date January 1952.

Along with The Teahouse of the August Moon and the more successful film Say onara, Japanese War Bride was argued by some scholars to have increased racial tolerance in the United States by openly discussing interracial marriages. Later, Windsor moved to TV. After her acting career was over, Marie became a painter and sculptor. Windsor was also a lifelong Mormon - HM The King Leaves for Normandy in HMS Arethusa, the usual rank of a Queen is between the King and the Jack.
李香蘭夜來香 Li Xianglan - Tube roses 16 June 1944.

Mr. Kugler has received another call-up for doing forced work by the Germans, but he is trying to get out of it - At the end of World War II she was arrested by the Chinese government for treason and collaboration with the Japanese. After her childhood Russian friend helped locate Yamaguchi's Japanese birth certificate, she was cleared of all charges and possibly the death penalty, since she was not a Chinese national after all. Before long in 1946, she resettled in Japan. Yamaguchi was considered by many Chinese in the post-World War II period to be a Japanese spy and thus a traitor to the Chinese people. Yamaguchi was one of the first prominent Japanese citizens to acknowledge the history of Japanese brutality during the wartime occupation. She later campaigned for greater public awareness of that history and advocated paying reparations to so-called comfort women, Korean women who were forced into sex slavery by the Japanese military during the war. In 1969, she became the host of The Three O'Clock You (Sanji no anata) TV show on Fuji Television, reporting on the Israeli-Palestinian dispute as well as the Vietnam War.

Above & Beyond.

Miller was born in Waco, Texas, on 12 October 1919, to Connery and Henrietta Miller. He was named Doris, as the midwife who assisted his mother was convinced the baby would be female. He filled his time squirrel hunting with a .22 rifle and completed a correspondence course in taxidermy and Miller worked on his father's farm until shortly before his 20th birthday. On 16 September 1939, he enlisted in the US Navy. Following training at Naval Training Station, Norfolk, Virginia, he was promoted to Mess Attendant Third Class, one of the few ratings open at the time to African Americans - Windy Miller is the resident of Colly's Mill, a windmill set atop a hill near the village of Camberwick Green, Trumptonshire, where he grinds corn and barley.
Pearl Harbor (2001) Trailer Italiano - Surprise Millitary Strike.

On 7 December 1941, Miller was a crewman aboard the West Virginia and awoke that morning at 6:00 am. After serving breakfast mess, he was collecting laundry when at 7:57 am, Lieutenant Commander Shigeharu Murata from the Japanese aircraft carrier Akagi launched the first of nine torpedoes that would hit West Virginia. When the "Battle Stations" alarm went off, Miller headed for his battle station, an anti-aircraft battery magazine amidship, only to discover that a torpedo had destroyed it. He went then to Times Square, a central spot where the fore to aft and port to starboard passageways crossed, and reported himself available for other duty. Lieutenant Frederic H. White ordered Miller to help him and Ensign Victor Delano load the unmanned #1 and #2 Browning .50 caliber anti-aircraft machine guns aft of the conning tower. Miller was not familiar with the weapon, but White and Delano instructed him on how to operate it. Miller was recognized as one of the "first US heroes of World War II". He was commended in a letter signed by Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox on April 1, and the next day, CBS Radio broadcast an episode of the series "They Live Forever," which dramatized Miller's actions.

Medal of Honor.

British secret agent Alfred Pettibone carrying a vital secret document is murdered on his way to deliver it in the USA. The British government turns to Holmes for help. He deduces that Pettibone converted the document to microfilm. Avoiding an assassination attempt, he hurries to Washington with Watson to retrieve it before it falls into the hands of an "international spy ring" - Operation Mincemeat was a successful British deception operation of the Second World War to disguise the 1943 Allied invasion of Sicily. Two members of British intelligence obtained the body of Glyndwr Michael, a tramp who died from eating rat poison, dressed him as an officer of the Royal Marines and placed personal items on him identifying him as the fictitious Captain (Acting Major) William Martin.

The corpse of Michael, while dressed as William Martin.

Michael, homeless, friendless, depressed and with no money, drifted to London where he lived on the streets. He was found in an abandoned warehouse close to King's Cross, seriously ill from ingesting rat poison that contained phosphorus. Two days later, he died at age 34 in St. Pancras Hospital. His death may have been suicide, although he may have simply been hungry, as the poison he ingested was a paste smeared on bread crusts to attract rats. Attached to Michael's body was a briefcase containing secret documents that had been fabricated by the British Security Service - The German submarine U-227 was depth charged and sunk north of the Faroe Islands by a Handley Page Hampden of No. 455 Squadron RAAF.

International Trade Secretary Liam Fox said it would be "easier" for Boris Johnson to "just give an explanation" about the row recorded at his home.
Why should Boris explain to anyone what happened in the privacy of his own home, do people who write newspapers never argue with their partners etc I suppose all those politicians have never argued/fallen out with anyone. Arriving in the area of the meeting on the evening of 23 June, the carrier began launching flights of Avengers at around 23:00 GMT to search for the submarines. U-530 escaped undetected. They arrived on the scene just after midnight, and circled with Taylor for some time. At about 0100 on 24 June, Fish reported hearing some faint propeller noise in the area.
