When you are on your own, & you know no one is listening?

I do, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it. :D

My accent of choice this morning as I was making my toast, was a cockney accent, filled with lots of "fahckin muppet, slag" etc. :emb:

Yes. :D

I don't think there's anything wrong with it either. It often helps the thought processes and relieves stress levels or releases anger.

*But I admit: if I'm caught out talking to myself.... I pretend to be fixing one of those phone earpieces. :D I've even been known to say aloud, "You're breaking up", or "I think I'm losing the signal"*

Well, I suppose I'll see you both at the asylum :D

I mostly sing to the cat in the morning, not sure if it pisses her off... I kind of mostly sing about how thick she is :emb: :spank: I then say to her "I'm only joking". :chuckle:

Lol. I ask Ruby-dog questions.... then answer for her as well (in a high, tweety-pie voice).

Me: What's your point?

Supposedly Ruby-dog: My point is.... very pointy.

I used to talk to my old dog Squire, all the time. & he listened, and understood. No bull, he did. He wasn't an ordinary dog. honestly. He was a personality in a dog. Even people who don't like dogs loved him.

My fab Alsatian, Brecon, understood me in English and French! :O And my darling retriever, Beulah, answered every instruction/command just by me saying Tingle Tongle, Beu (it's written on her little headstone in my parents' garden).

But, Ruby-dog..... she has learning difficulties (and, yes, dogs can have learning difficulties) and mostly doesn't even understand what Roooo Beee means.

(But I usually give her the winning script in any debate).

As well, when I'm writing I often talk out where the story needs to go from here, or practice what I'm going to have the characters say (in their voice/accents). The child and dog are used to it. But anyone else in the house keeps saying, "What? Sorry, I missed that".

Well we all have that internal dialogue :chuckle: I generally talk shit out loud. I keep saying to the cat, in a strange accent, "tiny one" :dunno: I think it's an ironic statement because she's like a medicine ball with fur on it :D
