Just wondering why guest posting has been restricted in two forums I could post in yesterday? General and today's news?

A decision was made to restrict guest posting to the lounge only, for the good of the site.

i can't see why you'd stop guest posting, if anything you should make it easier for guests to post.
I don't know if i want to join a freedom that limits guest's freedom of speech.

Hmm don't know if I like that, if anything it was too difficult for guests to post, I wonder how many tried and lost their entire post due to entering the code incorrectly or forgetting to add a name?

I don't think I want an account on an autocratically governed forum where the freedom of speech of guests is limited and confined to one sub forum. :down:

I, again, propose that NO guest posting be allowed on TZ, in line with most other sites out there. Those interested in posting, to whatever extent, should join up to take part.

Anyone who is offended by that and sees it as an "autocratic dictatorship", such as Mike - well, how on earth do they cope in the Real World? :D

Guest posting adds nothing to TZ and does not encourage members to join. It just encourages people to drop in with (usually inane) comments we're not even sure they look in on again for any kind of feedback.

Same with Chat: guests not allowed to any extent; members allowed the very long free-rein already given.

I reckon you could be alright but all I've seen from you are attempts to create anger, not really debate points.

You were probably sat behind a tor proxy yesterday when we were discussing invasion of privacy.

If you want to argue ideas and beliefs that fine but this is the last time I'll respond to you posting in the lounge (or anywhere else if guests were allowed) whilst you are in my opinion trying to cause trouble.

Calling this an autocratic dictatorship (can a dictatorship be anything apart from autocratic?) is just another silly attempt. If this is what you want your life to consist of then fairplay, I ain't playing though
