Some examples here...

For:
"Whether you are religious or not Physician assisted suicide isnt a "right or wrong" thing. People have the right to bear arms, freedom of speech, etc. So why can we not have the freedom to make a decision on whether we want to live or not?
When considering physician assisted suicide however, we should outline 1) who should be allowed to receive physician assisted suicide 2) and why this person is receiving this assistance.

Physician assisted suicide should be allowed to those who are terminally ill with a limited amount of time left to live. PAS shouldn't be eligible to people who are young and are healthy or have plenty of time to live."

Against:
"No one else but God decides our END I totally understand the suffering part about the situation and it is a really hard question, but as a Christian and believer I can only believe that God has the right to end our life. If you decide to end your life you are still committing suicide and if someone assists you then they are still considered a murderer. If you are still alive it's for a reason, if you have never heard the gospel maybe you can come to know Christ through your circumstance".

I think it should be legalized, obviously with safeguards in place.

We should be able to choose when to end our own life.

You could add a poll to your OP phe.

yes/no
I remember the good old days, when 90+ year olds in nursing homes lived forever. Darn this pesky virus.

1365 = 1

1.1365 = 1,283,305,580,313,352

I say yes. Being forced to live a miserable, helpless life of pain because some fucker has decided suicide offends their 'all life is sacred' opinion is ridiculous.

If God is really the lovely chap He is made out to be, then I'm sure He'll understand. If he didn't want people to kill themselves, he shouldn't have invented degenerative diseases. Or failed to strike down Iain Duncan Smith with a lightening bolt.

Funny to start a post with "I believe".

I believe in free will of an individual on all matters about their lives, their deaths included. I also often think that suicide is the option of total loosing, its a bit of a double edged sword really. Or a scalpel in this case. I think there's probably other ways out in every case, but if somebody really wants to just die, go ahead if doing so wont hurt others.

Should assisted dying be legalised in the UK?

At present, anyone helping with the suicide of another person could face 14 years in prison, but what would the consequences be of legalising assisted dying in the UK? Gavin Ramjaun speaks to range of experts and campaigners - including Professor Stephen Hawking, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and Lord Falconer - on either side of the emotive debate to find out.

In a natural system this would be no matter of legal or illegal.

But right now we are still accepting this anti-nature, anti-humans, anti-freedom ... system and as long as we do so the biggest freedom we can expect being granted by the masters, the greedy and bloodthirsty minority, is to decide on our own how and when we leave it through the door with "death" written on it.

The situation is worse than most are able to grasp.

But it's a sunny day (here) and I don't want to spoil it.

I agree with this people should not have to suffer from cancer or other degenerative diseases.

Some people have amazing lives and wish they could live forever.

Others suffer day in day out and should not have to be alive if they don't wan't to.

I read that in the UK people jump off cliffs as one of the preferred methods of suicide.

Here in the US anyone can get a gun take a walk in the woods and humanely shoot themselves in the head if they wan't.

I believe it should although it must be difficult knowing when to "pull the plug" so to speak. It seems so often that people make remarkable recoveries and we see leaps and bounds made by medicine etc.

Should assisted suicide be legalized?

I did not vote.

"Assisted suicide" is typical Orwellian newspeak for "euthanasia".
The ptb are already "suiciding" = murdering billions of innocent humans since at least 1945 without consent by deliberately poisoning our natural surrounding, our water&food and worst of all - the minds = euthanasia of consciousness of the ignorant masses.

To ask the current destructive, inhumane, misanthrope system to "legalize" euthanasia is like

1. carrying coals to Newcastle
2. believing that chemo and rays cure cancer

(This comment is an addendum to my previous and I am sorry to have to speak frankly, but this is the TZ after all)

I agree with the ability to choose with a terminal illness. However the concept of euthanasia is designed to undermine the sanctity and preeminence of life

Yes, and I would add imperatively:
