Just nosing around the forum (as you do) and i noticed the 'media centre' had classical music, trance music etc but, unless I have missed it, nothing inbetween. Now I LOVE classical music, I also love other genres, but I have noticed that some classical lovers tend to turn their noses up at the newer crossover stuff, which is a shame. So, my question is, am I the only person here to like crossover? If not, would anyone care to share their favourites?

Here are a couple of mine to get started... enjoy! :aargh:

oh and this isn't exactly classical but it is awesome

By the way, not sure how to work the links thingy yet, sorry :(

Nowt wrong with crossover.....people do get very snobby about it, but for me...music is good/enjoyable or it isn't...

I do enjoy Hayley Westenra..... :)

Erm, and her music's quite nice too :D

Is this strictly 'crossover'? I'm not sure....Curved Air were a mainly rock band from the late 60's/early 70's, but they did this one track which was....different.

Thanks for the replies. sorry I have not been around, I have been busy studying circle of fifths. :aargh:

I loved the videos so far, a few more would be great. Curved Air apparently did crossover before it had been invented lol I did a little googling, 2 things jumped out at me, that they did the IoW Festival in 2008, and that a past band member (drummer) was one Stewart Copeland. Interesting.
