a £50k+ MGB, really? Sure the new one will do 160 mph, but where in the British Isles are you going to go that fast? The original sold for about £6k. I don't see this as progress.

Getting "the last word" is not the same thing as winning the argument. It may just mean that the other fellow has decided that your ignorance is to entrenched for you to learn.

Bit pricey yes.

Can get a newish looking 98-01 F body ls1 camaro for cheap, add heads and cam to get over 500bhp, should go straight past it. :chuckle: (and sound better)

May I introduce my absolutely unsurpassable second to none most favourite car,
although I am no guy?

Interesting they make new MGB shells if i read the link correctly.

Same has happened with some model ford mustang (i think the 67 fastback  ) ... and the 57 chevy convertible.... demand has outstripped supply (few left for sale) ... so motor body builders make new ones.

And then this place that makes bodykits for much lesser cars to look like...

They look cool.. and seem to have proper engines too.

Twin turbo v8s, up to 550kW :hahano: ( i wonder what brand engines they are  )

You germans have some powerful engines.. i mean it took a while, the big engined 90's bmw's and mercs started off a bit :turt: :snail: ... but towards the end of that decade, and up to now, it got much better... heck alot of the AMG's have more engine than the tyres can ever handle. :hahano:

I would much rather have one of these for the same money. 911 Carrera 4S, around 400 BHP, 0-60 in a tad over 4 secs, and a top speed of over 185 mph. That'll do me.. :chuckle:

My personal all time favorite:

Actually owned one exactly like this one once. OldGal named it "The Neighborhood Terror". A tip of the hat to anyone who can identify it.

Close but it is a special R17. Anyone? The paint job gives it away.

 And we have a winner. Not a lot of top end, about 95 mph but the only front wheel drive I've ever seen that would actually launch the front wheels off the ground from a standing start.
