If Euthanasia was legalised in the UK that someone might be a Doctor or a Nurse instructed to euthanise a patient by order of a court.

Why involve a court? It should be up to the patient/individual

Good point.
Have you considered that the patient might not want to 'go'?
Rellys were forever committing minted old family members to asylums back in the day in order to gain powers of attorney on estates.
Euthansia opens just such another avenue.
" It's what Granny she said she wanted before she went ga ga Doc so stick in that needle."
Courts can be handy sometimes.

Yes, but am thinking more of when the prognosis is terminal, there seems little purpose in denying someone the option to skip the long wait

Do Not Resuscitate ( DNR) patients tend not to linger-long.
The whole steer of this euthanasia debate in UK medicine has been much along the lines we've had on here.
There are some 'pro' but the majority of UK Doctors and an even bigger majority of nurses balloted ( by the RCN) were against it.

Of course they are against it. They'd rather bill the patient weekly for keeping them alive. When they start doing it free of charge, then I'll trust their motivations entirely.

No doubt the contents of that link are pure jewish propaganda, but I'd love to see their lies and misinformation pulled apart piece by piece here. Come on you unashamed NS proponents, show me what you are made of. You keep on saying you want more than one line drive-bys to feed on.
The strategy for adult “euthanasia” was much more comprehensive. The Interior Ministry had issued another decree on 21 September 1939, requiring medical facilities to complete a questionnaire in respect of all patients who (a) suffered from an extensive list of medical conditions and were unable to work; or (b) had been institutionalized for more than five years; or (c) had been committed as criminally insane: or (d) were non-`Aryan’. As with children, whether or not an individual was condemned to die was supposedly decided by a panel of physicians.
