The Maquis du Limousin was one of the largest Maquis groups of French resistance fighters. Edmond Michelet distributed tracts calling for continued fighting in all of Brive-la-Gaillarde's mailboxes on 17 June 1940. Soviet troops occupy Latvia and Estonia. At 3:00 a.m., Pétain's request to open peace negotiations reached Hitler's headquarters near Sedan. Forces under the command of Heinz Guderian reached the Franco-Swiss border at Pontarlier. A railway complex at Rennes that was crowded with both military personnel and refugees trying to escape the fighting was Bombed. A munitions train exploded during the attack and a total of 800 people were killed. The troopship RMS Lancastria was sunk by German air attack off the port of Saint-Nazaire during Operation Ariel with over 4,000 fatalities. At 9:00 p.m. Benito Mussolini, Count Ciano and other functionaries boarded a train to go to Munich at Hitler's invitation.

The World At War
1973 - A New Germany (1933–1939)

10 June 1942 - Nazis burn the Czech village of Lidice, 22 kilometres (14 mi) northWest of Prague in reprisal for the killing of Reinhard Heydrich. Many historians regard him as the darkest figure within the Nazi elite; Adolf Hitler described him as "the man with the iron heart".He was the founding head of the Sicherheitsdienst, an intelligence organisation charged with seeking out and neutralising resistance to the Nazi Party via arrests, deportations, and murders.

The only survivor was 47-year-old Marguerite Rouffanche. Raymond J. Murphy, a 20-year-old American B-17 navigator shot down over Avord, France in late April, witnessed the aftermath of the massacre. After being hidden by the French Resistance. About 3 weeks ago, I saw a town within 4 hours bicycle ride up the Gerbeau farm (of Resistance leader Camille Gerbeau) where some 500 men, women, and children had been murdered by the Germans. I saw one baby who had been crucified .In Distomo, Boeotia, Greece, 218 men, women and children are massacred.

Now now, Mr. Peterson, we aren't going to start up all that silliness again, are we?

Born Michael Gordon Peterson in Luton, Bedfordshire, he was 1 of 3 sons of Eira and Joe Peterson. His father later ran the Conservative club in Aberystwyth. His uncle and aunt each served as mayor of Luton in the 1960s and 70s. His aunt, Eileen Parry, is quoted as saying: As a boy, he was a lovely lad. He was obviously bright and always good with children. He was gentle and mild-mannered, never a bully; he would defend the weak..
Bronson Release date 17 October 2008.

By the age of 13, he was part of a gang of four robbers and was reprimanded in juvenile court after he was caught stealing. He enjoyed fighting from an early age, and was often absent from school. He was imprisoned for the first time at Risley, serving time on remand for criminal damage after he smashed some parked cars following an argument with his girlfriend's father. Aged 19, Bronson was convicted for his part in a smash and grab raid. The judge gave him another chance, giving him a suspended sentence. He met Irene Kelsey in 1971, he "was so different from any other boys I knew. He always wore tailored suits, had perfectly-groomed sideburns and a Cockney accent." Eight months later in 1972, when Kelsey was 4 months pregnant, the couple married at Chester Register Office. Bronson was convicted of armed robbery in 1974, aged 22, and sentenced to se7en years imprisonment.
CB - I've got Jilly cooper. She was in favour of the Iraq War.

He was also injected with the sedative chlorpromazine (which made him violently ill), and 6 months were added to his sentence. During 75 to 77, he was switched between Armley, Wakefield, Parkhurst, and Walton prisons;and taken from Yorkshire to London chained to the floor of a prison van. At Wandsworth, he attempted to poison the prisoner in the cell next to him. He was moved to Parkhurst in 1976, a psychiatric facility, where he befriended the Kray twins. Bronson was returned to the Isle of Wight. There he attacked a prisoner with a jam jar, and was again charged with grievous bodily harm. He attempted suicide and attacked another prison officer, and was sectioned under the Mental Health Act. In December 1978, Bronson arrived at Broadmoor, but was soon transferred to Rampton Secure Hospital. Unable to adapt to forced medication, and in the company of highly disturbed and highly dangerous inmates, Bronson attempted to strangle child sex murderer John White. At Broadmoor, Bronson attempted to strangle Gordon Robinson to death, but was prevented from doing so by the tearing of the silk tie he was using, and was eventually granted a transfer to Ashworth Hospital (then known as Park Lane Hospital) in June 1984. Upon his release from Gartree, Peterson was met by his family and stayed with his parents for a few days in Aberystwyth, and forms a cultural link between North Wales and South Wales..One of the best guys I met in Rampton was Stevie...we have the same explosive nature. I love Stevie like my real brothers, he's family to the end. Stevie actually had his name changed to stevie peterson. Stevies been caged up since 72.

The Queen's Guards
Assassination attempt on King Edward VIII in 1936.

The film tells the story of John Fellowes, an officer in the Grenadier Guards as he prepares for the Trooping the Colour ceremony on 11 June 1960. The Regimental Slow March is the march Scipio. The Grenadier Guards trace their lineage back to 1656, when Lord Wentworth's Regiment was raised in Bruges, in the Spanish Netherlands (present-day Belgium), from gentlemen of the Honourable Artillery Company by the then heir to the throne, Prince Charles (later King Charles II) where it formed a part of exiled King's bodyguard. At the outbreak of the First World War in August 1914, the regiment consisted of 3 battalions. During the Second World War, the regiment was expanded to six service battalions, with the re-raising of the 4th Battalion, and the establishment of the 5th and 6th Battalions.

The Chosen Numbers.

Heart of Stone.

11 June 1944USS Missouri, the last battleship built by the US Navy and future site of the signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender, is commissioned. Missouri received a total of 11 battle stars for service in World War II, Korea, and the Persian Gulf, and was finally decommissioned after serving a total of 17 years of active service and became a museum ship at Pearl Harbor.
Cher (Official Music Video) If I Could Turn Back Time.

The music video for If I Could Turn Back Time, directed by Marty Callner, takes place on board the battleship USS Missouri. It depicts Cher and her band performing a concert for the ship's crew. The video was filmed in Los Angeles on Friday night, 30 June 1989, while the ship was stationed at the former Long Beach Naval Shipyard at Pier D. In the video, the band plays on the foredeck, and the ship is rigged with spotlights, light racks and strobes. Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, 12 at the time, appears as one of the band's guitarists (he wears dark glasses and a Jimi Hendrix T-shirt). The Dept. of the Navy had granted permission for the music video shoot because of its potential for boosting Navy recruitment: the Navy did not have a budget for TV ads in 1989. Released July 1.

First time on U-boat?
Situation Report

Halsted was declared a constructive total loss and, instead of being returned to the U.S. Navy, was retained by the Royal Navy for spare parts - German submarine U-490 (Ordered 17 July 1941) was a Type XIV supply and replenishment U-boat ("Milchkuh") of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine fitted with a Schnorchel underwater-breathing apparatus in April 1944. Although as a supply boat, she avoided combat, she was lost on her first patrol when on 12 June, she was attacked in mid-ocean by the escort carrier USS Croatan and the destroyers Frost, Huse and Inch. There were 60 survivors..

It's been 15 hours. Be thankful for what grows down here. 13 boats down last month..

U.S. Task Force 58 attacked Japanese facilities and shipping in preparation for the landings on Saipan, sinking one torpedo boat and 12 merchant ships of Japanese convoy CD-4 - Saipan, together with Tinian, was possibly first sighted by Europeans by the Spanish expedition of Ferdinand Magellan. The island used to have a large population of giant African land snails, unfortunately, possibly due to the flatworm, the native tree-snails also became extinct- The overall command of the task force alternated between 2 very different admirals: Raymond Spruance and William "Bull" Halsey. Their commander was Admiral Chester Nimitz, the leading US Navy authority on submarines. President Roosevelt gave his 30th and final fireside chat, on the subject of the opening of the Fifth War Loan Drive. Halsey arrived aboard USS Missouri, his new flagship, whereupon he relieved Spruance, while McCain relieved Mitscher.

There were 5 crew members and 17 paratroopers on this C-47A flight and they all perished in the crash - Graignes is a former commune in the Manche département of the Basse-Normandie region of Northern France - The Battle of Graignes was part of the American airborne landings in Normandy during the early stages of Operation Overlord in World War II, fought between June 1012, 1944 in Graignes, France. During the engagement, American paratroopers of the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division held the town for 2 days against the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division Götz von Berlichingen. The division was raised near Poitiers, France as the Panzer-Grenadier-Division "Götz von Berlichingen" in October 1943. After the Imperial victory, he was called before the Diet of Speyer to account for his actions. On 17 October 1526, he was acquitted by the Imperial chamber.

The German submarine U-59 and U-70 each bore the emblem of a "War Glove" with the legend Götz von Berlichingen! - Manche is a French department in Normandy , named for the English Channel, which is known as La Manche, literally "the sleeve" in French - At the end of the 11 June battle, the 17th SS entered the church and found Captain (Abraham ‘Bud’ Sophian’]s aid station. Sophian (battalion surgeon and paratrooper) had surrendered the building to them by waving a white flag at the door. SS troops forced the Captain, his two medics and 14 wounded American paratroopers to line up against a wall. The captured Americans were by definition POWs and therefore should have been protected under the terms of the Geneva Convention.(Wop is a pejorative slur for Italians). In fact, the wounded Americans were divided into 2 groups and murdered. 1 group of 5 wounded was taken to the edge of a nearby pond, where the SS bayoneted them and threw their bodies into the water. The other group of nine were forced to march at gun, point were forced to dig a pit, the SS shot each of the wounded men through the head and pushed their bodies into the pit - During World War I Vojtěch Preissig designed recruitment posters for the United States armed forces, which were mainly directed at Czech immigrants.

252 km (157 mi) - Hanka Ordonówna in 1930.

Road 17 is a road in western Iran connecting Kermanshah via Islamabad-e-gharb to Ilam and to Mehran. "Kermanshah" derives from the Sasanian-era title Kirmanshah, which translates as "King of Kerman". Famously, this title was held by the son of Shapur III, Prince Bahram. Ilam is the third largest Kurdish city in Iran; and its people are Shia Muslims. Mehran is located near Iran's western border with Iraq.
Poles In Persia (1943)

Within months, in order to de-Polonize annexed lands, the Soviet NKVD rounded up and deported between 320,000 and 1 million Polish nationals to the eastern parts of the USSR, the Urals, and Siberia. Some had to travel by land to Ashgabat. The hunger was terrible, we did not get a loaf of bread a day, as we had in Siberia. First refugees came to Palestine in summer 1942. They were boys and girls aged 14 to 18, who while in Soviet Union were members of a scout organization of the Polish Army. About 120,000 refugees from Poland began their exodus to Iran from remote parts of the Soviet Union.
A woman decorates the front yard of her tent with the Polish national eagle.

At Isfahan Polish orphanage and children camp was opened, where 2,300 children and 300 adults stayed and 8 elementary schools were created. Many Poles left Iran for India, thanks to the efforts of Polish consul in Bombay, Eugeniusz Banasinski. Indian government agreed to host 10,000 Polish refugees, including 5,000 orphans. Children were taken care of by Polish Red Cross and residents of Bombay. At first, they were transported to the town of Bandra, in the suburbs of Bombay, where Hanka Ordonówna took care of the kids. In 1931, she married Count Michał Tyszkiewicz, who wrote many of her songs. Though a countess, she continued to perform in cabaret and even ride a horse in a circus revue. In 1944, Prime Minister Peter Fraser of New Zealand agreed to take a limited number of Polish orphans and half-orphans, whose parents had died either in Soviet Union or Tehran, or whose fathers fought at the front. Polish Children's Camp was financed by the government of New Zealand, with help from Polish Government in Exile, based in London. We were mentally shaped by such organizations, as Sodality of Our Lady, and The Eucharistic Crusade.

I like tigers. Rrrrah!.

It was clear that to control Villers-Bocage , the British would have to occupy the ridge rapidly. The I SS-Panzer Korps commander Obergruppenführer Sepp Dietrich ordered his only reserve, schwere SS-Panzer Abteilung 101 to move behind the Panzer-Lehr and 12th SS-Panzer divisions in the Villers-Bocage area, as a precaution against an attempt to advance into the Caumont Gap. The battalion had an establishment of 4 5 Tiger I but had been reduced to about 17 serviceable tanks by an air attack near Versailles. The 260th Anti-tank Battery of the Norfolk Yeomanry would cover the gap between the 4th CLY and the 5th RTR with 17pdr SP Achilles self-propelled anti-tank gun. Under the command of Brigadier William "Loony" Hinde, the 22nd Armoured Brigade group reached Villers-Bocage without serious incident on the morning of 13 June. The leading elements advanced eastwards from the town on the Caen road to Point 2 13, where they were ambushed by Tiger I tanks of the 101st SS Heavy Panzer Battalion. In fewer than 15 minutes numerous tanks, anti-tank guns and transport vehicles of the British 7th Armoured Division were destroyed, many by SS-Obersturm führer Michael Wittmann.

On 14 January 1944, Wittmann (22 April 1914) was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The presentation was made by his divisional commander SS- Oberführer Theodor Wisch. Wittmann was awarded the Oak Leaves on 30 January for the destruction of 117 tanks, making him the 380th member of the German armed forces to receive it - The lead elements of the British 7th Armoured Division entered Villers-Bocage. Having given instructions for the rest to hold their ground, he set off with one tank. At approximately 09:00, Wittmann's Tiger emerged from cover onto the main road, Route Nationale 175, and engaged the rearmost British tanks positioned on Point 213, destroying them, meanwhile, had destroyed an additional British tank, 2 artillery observation post (OP) tanks followed by a scout car and a half-track. In Villers-Bocage, A Company of the 1/7th Queen's secured the area around the railway station and B and C companies occupied the east side of the town. - Reveille is chiefly used to wake military personnel and prisoners at sunrise. The name comes from réveille (or réveil), the French word for wake up. You know, it's feeling like a cursed op.
Battle of Villers Bocage.

For his actions during the battle, Wittmann was promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer, and awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. The German propaganda machine swiftly credited Wittmann, by then a household name in Germany, with all the British tanks destroyed at Villers-Bocage. Wittmann recorded a radio message on the evening of 13 June, describing the battle, and claiming that later counter-attacks had des troyed a British armoured regiment and an infantry battalion - The Battle of Bréville was fought by the British 6th Airborne Division and the German 346th Infantry Division. The Black Watch would attack Bréville from the south-west, but before the attack sent a company to take over the defence of the Château - Breville is an Australian manufacturer and marketer of small home appliances, founded in Sydney in 1932. Destry Rides Again - Battle of Bloody Gulch

The remnants of the 6th Fallschirmjäger resupplied and were reinforced by assault guns and panzergrenadiers of the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division on the night of June 12– 13 . The combined force counterattacked northeast towards Carentan at dawn on June 13 just as the 506th and 501st PIR were attacking southwest to enlarge the American defensive perimeter around the town. The 506th took the brunt of the attack, and by 10:30 a.m., the outnumbered and outgunned paratroopers were pushed almost back to the outskirts of the town. During the battle, Manoir de Donville was the headquarters of the German forces. American soldiers nicknamed the road running past the manor "Bloody Gulch", after a place mentioned in a popular western movie.

Part of the Battle of Carentan.

Kent and "Frenchy", his girlfriend and the dance hall queen, now have a stranglehold over the local cattle ranchers - When a German tank attempted to penetrate the left flank, two soldiers of E Company successfully destroyed it with a bazooka. Meanwhile, battalion headquarters stopped the retreat of D and F companies, pushing them forward 150 meters to cover the left flank. The 2nd Battalion of the 502nd PIR took up positions to the right of the 506th, but by 1:00 p.m. they too had suffered many casualties, and the German attack was on the verge of breaking through their defenses. At this critical point, 60 tanks from Combat Command A of the 2nd Armored Division and accompanied by infantry of the 29th Division, counterattacked southwest from Carentan at 4:30 p.m., inflicting severe casualties on the Germans and forcing them to withdraw at the loss of 4 tanks. The American victory led to the linkup of forces from Utah and Omaha beaches, creating a secure lodgement area for further American operations - On 13 June 1944, Operations Sergeant Edward D. Shames received a battlefieldcommission to second lieutenant, although the formal commission was completed in England. He was the first NCO in the 3rd Battalion to receive a commission in Normandy. He was transferred to Easy Company and took charge of its 3rd platoon.

Above the Clouds

The absolute simplicity. That's what I love.

Hello, my friend.

Gebirgsjäger are the light infantry part of the alpine or mountain troops (Gebirgstruppe) of Germany and Austria. The word Jäger (meaning "hunter" or "huntsman") is a characteristic term used for light-infantry or light-infantry man in a continental European military context. The mountain infantry of Austria have their roots in the 3 Landesschützen regiments of the Austro- Hungarian Empire. Its divisions were lightly equipped, with much of the transport provided by mules.
Ennio Morricone Two Mules for Sister Sara.

One young spectacled soldier from the 4th Infantry Division approaches Blithe, and remarks that they must've taken a beating. Blithe just stares at him, and then walks into the direction of the German Soldier he shot. He then finds him lying dead. In his coat pocket, he notices an Edelwiess flower. Blithe picks it up, and puts it in his own coat pocket. Leontopodium nivale, commonly called edelweiss is a mountain flower belonging to the daisy or sunflower family Asteraceae

We did what was best for our country.

The 1st Mountain Division fought in the Invasion of Poland as a part of Army Group South and distinguished itself during fighting in the Carpathians and at Lwów. In a symbolic propaganda move, the division sent a detachment to raise the German flag on Mount Elbrus on 21 August. Although the feat was widely publicized by Goebbels, Hitler was furious over what he called "these crazy mountain climbers," his rage lasting for hours. The flower's common name derives from the German word "Edelweiß", which is a compound of edel "noble" and weiß "white". German Gebirgsjäger traditionally share a very close comradeship and distinct esprit de corps.
Se7en years in Tibet scene

The 8th Mountain Division ( 8. Gebirgs Division) was formed on 27 February 1945 by the redesignation of the 157th Mountain Division, which itself had been formed from the 157th Infantry Division in September 1944, and which had participated in operations against the maquis of Vercors. In his BBC speech, de Gaulle pronounced the famous line "le chamois des Alpes bondit" ("the chamois of the Alps leaps forth") which signalled the 4,000 maquisardsto begin the uprising. Almost all the 157. Reserve- Division of the Wehrmach. 4 reserve mountain light infantry battalion. 2 reserve infantry battalions. 2 reserve artillery batteries out of the Reserve- Artillerie-Regiment 7. 22 DFS-230 gliders towed by bombers Dornier-17 and eight of them landed a bit further on. Maquisards appealed to Free French agencies based in London and Algiers to supply them with more arms and heavier weapronry to counter the German action, but none were forthcoming. Edelweiss a 43(=12or7)-story residential high-rise (157 m (515 ft) in Moscow was designed to be a companion for the Se7en Sisters and shares a similar design concept with Triumphe-Palace. And in the meantime you can explain to me, what is an elevator. The "reviving" Naraka, has ground made of hot iron heated by an immense fire. In addition, black lines are drawn upon the body, which hell guards use as guides to cut the beings with fierysaws and sharp axes.

Chatham Memorial.

Boadicea's stern in heavy weather.

Boadicea displaced 1,360 long tons (1,380 t) at standard load and 1,790 long tons (1,820 t) at deep load. The ship was ordered on 4 March 1929 from Hawthorn Leslie, under the 1928 Naval Programme. She was laid down at Hebburn-on-Tyne on 11 July 1929, and launched on 23 September 1930, as the 5th RN ship to carry this name. The ship was detached to escort Convoys PQ 15 and Convoy QP 12 to and from Murmansk in April–May and was refitted between August and October, after which she escorted a convoy to Gibraltar as part of the preparations for Operation Torch. She escorted British ships to Oran during the invasion and was struck by a shell from a French L'Adroit-class destroyer on 8 November that did little damage. In Freetown, Sierra Leone she served as a local escort. On 19 July, she rescued 220 survivors from the torpedoed ocean liner MV Incomati. In January 1944, Boadicea rejoined the 8th Escort Group - Aṭaṭa is the "shivering" Naraka.

The Bill is an important way-point for coastal traffic, and three lighthouses have been built to protect shipping. The original two worked as a pair from 1716. Type 271 was the original naval centimetric target indication radar, later fitted with a plan position indicator. Boadicea was sunk on 13 June off Portland Bill by German aircraft while escorting a convoy of merchant ships to France. Sources differ as to the weapons used and the aircraft that carried them; (of the Dornier some say Fritz X missiles fired by Dornier Do 217s Do 17) belonging to KG 100 or torpedoes dropped by Junkers Ju 88s. The weapons caused a magazine explosion and Boadiceasank quickly, with only 12 of her crew of 182 surviving - Utpala is the "blue lotus" Naraka.

RAF Bomber Command sent 221 aircraft to bomb Le Havre in its first daylight raid since May 1943. Three torpedo boats, 15 S-boats, nine minesweepers and 8 patrol boats were among the many German ships sunk in the raid - German submarine U-715 (Commissioned: 17 March 1943) with a maximum surface speed of 17.7 knots was depth charged and sunk northeast of the Faroe Islands by a PBY Canso of No. 162 Squadron RCAF. Of the crew of 52, only 16 survived. Archaeological evidence shows settlers living on the Faroe Islands in two successive periods before the Norse arrived. The Norse and Norse–Gael settlers probably did not come directly from Scandinavia, but rather from Norse communities surrounding the Irish Sea, Northern Isles and Outer Hebrides of Scotland, including the Shetland and Orkney islands - When founded in 1517, the city was named Franciscopolis after Francis I of France - The urban area of Le Havre corresponds roughly to the territory of the Agglomeration community of Le Havre includes 17 communes and 250,000 people. The lower town is subject to a rising water table, and a large tidal range. Only the town hall and the Church of Saint Joseph (107m high) were personally designed by Auguste Perret - Nakara is a northern suburb of the city of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. It is named after the Nakara Indigenous Australians who live around Boucaut Bay, west of the Blyth River in northern Arnhem Land, close to Maningrida - Mahāraurava , the great screaming Naraka, is similar to Raurava. Punishment here is for people who maintain their own body by hurting others - Only 4 V1's bombs of the 11 strike their targets. Huhuva, the "chattering teeth" Narakara is where beings shiver as their teeth chatter, making the sound hu, hu - 8th Secretary-General Ban Ki- moon was born on 13 June 1944 in the small farming village of Haengchi Wonnam Township, in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province in Korea.

The Shadows Apache.

The Battle of Lone Tree Hill, aka Battle of Wakde-Sarmi, is the name given to a major battle in 1944 in Dutch New Guinea, between United States and Japanese forces. Following the loss of Hollandia, to the east, in April 1944, the Toem-Wakde-Sarmi area was an isolated coastal salient for the Japanese. Nevertheless, elements of the Japanese 223rd and 224th Infantry Regiments, commanded by Lieutenant General Hachiro Tagami, were concentrated at Lone Tree Hill, overlooking Maffin Bay, and were blocking any further advance by the 158th Regimental Combat Team of the U.S. Army. On 14 June, the US commander, General Walter Krueger, sent the U.S. 6th Infantry Division, to relieve the 158th RCT. The eastern slope was fronted by a short, twisting stream which the Americans named Snaky River - Honshu (Main province) is the largest and most populous island of Japan. It is the se7enth-largest island in the world. Its population was 104 million people, according to a 2017 estimate. This represents 81.3 percent of the entire population of Japan and is linked to the other 3 major Japanese islands by a number of bridges and tunnels - The people who are known today as Apache were first encountered by the Conquistadors of the Spanish Crown. The beings in Hahava lament in the cold, going haa, haa in pain.

Supernatural - USS Golet (SS-361) was sunk off Honshu. All 82 crew lost. He said 'phone'?.

On 14 June the Polish and Russian partisans, numbering around 3,000 in total, found themselves tightly surrounded by German forces. The German units consisted of between 25,000 and 30,000 soldiers, with artillery, tanks, armored cars and air support. The Germans, relying on their superior numbers and armaments , managed to take control of a small wood nearby from which they could keep the partisans under constant fire, causing high casualties among them. The main columns of partisans, after fierce fighting, many casualties and a forced 40 kilometer march, managed to reach the relative safety of the Solska Forest. Partisan casualties were about 250, including around 125 killed or missing. 495 Wehrmacht soldiers also died, as well as an unknown number of German police and auxiliary forces. The forest is crossed by several routes, including the main national road number 17, which goes from Warsaw, via Lublin, to Lviv. Also, a Zwierzyniec - Belzec rail line goes through it - The Arizona 1st Volunteer Cavalry adopted as the motto "Cuidado" a Spanish word meaning "take care" in reference to when they would patrol for them to be on guard.

Saipan Marine Combat Footage.

The sai is a traditional melee weapon usedin Okinawa. The bombardment of Saipan began on 13 June 1944. 15 battleships were involved, and 165,000 shells were fired. Se7en modern fast battleships delivered 2,400 16 in (4 10 mm) shells, but to avoid potential minefields, fire was from a distance of 10,000 yd (9,100 m) or more, and crews were inexperienced in shore bombardment. The landings began at 07:00 on 15 June 1944. More than 300 LVTs landed 8,000 Marines on the west coast of Saipan by about 09:00. 11 fire support ships covered the Marine landings. The naval force consisted of the battleships Tennessee and California, the cruisers Birmingham and Indianapolis, the destroyers Norman Scott, Monssen, Coghlan, Halsey Powell, Bailey, Robinson, and Albert W. Grant. Admiral Soemu Toyoda, Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), saw an opportunity to use the A-Go force to attack the U.S. Navy forces around Saipan. On 15 June, he gave the order to attack. But the resulting battle of the Philippine Sea was a disaster for the IJN, which lost 3 aircraft carriers and hundreds of planes. The garrisons of the Marianas would have no hope of resupply or reinforcement. Saipan was a major part of the plot in the novel Debt of Honor.
Elektra (2005) Ninja Assassin HD.

Yoku, the 2 guards or prongs of the sai - pan, together with Tinian, was possibly first sighted by Europeans by the Spanish expedition of Ferdinand Magellan, when it made a landing in the southern Marianas on 6 March 1521. His father, Pedro de Magalhães, was a minor member of Portuguese nobility and mayor of the town. After taking a leave without permission, Magellan fell out of favour. Serving in Morocco, he was wounded, resulting in a permanent limp. He was accused of trading illegally with the Moors. The accusations were proven false, but he received no further offers of employment after 15 May 1514. Later on in 1515, he got an employment offer as a crew member on a Portuguese ship, but rejected this. In 1517 after a quarrel with King Manuel I, who denied his persistent demands to lead an expedition to reach the spice islands from the east (i.e., while sailing westwards, seeking to avoid the need to sail around the tip of Africa), he was allowed to leave for Spain. There are many private schools on Saipan - In Greek mythology, Elektra (Ἠλέκτρα, "amber") was the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra, and thus princess of Argos - In Neo-Freudian psychology, the Electra complex, as proposed by Carl Jung in his Theory of Psycho analysis, is a girl's psychosexual competition with her mother for possession of her father. The utility of the sai as a weapon is reflected in its distinctive shape.

Chi Omega

Founded 5 April 1895.

Robert David Keppel (born 15 June 1944) is an American former law enforcement officer and detective. He is also a former associate professor at the University of New Haven and Sam Houston State University. Keppel is commonly known for his contributions to the investigations of Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgway. Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Ridgway is believed to have murdered at least 71 teenage girls and women near Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. Triad refers to a group of 3 people in sociology.

On October 18, Melissa Anne Smith—the 17-year-old daughter of the police chief of Midvale (another Salt Lake City suburb)—disappeared after leaving a pizza parlor. Her nude body was found in a nearby mountainous area nine days later. Postmortem examination indicated that she may have remained alive for up to se7en days following her disappearance. On October 31, Laura Ann Aime, also 17, disappeared 25 miles (40 km) south in Lehi after leaving a café just after midnight. Her naked body blue was found by hikers 9 miles (14 km) to the northeast in American Fork Canyon on Thanksgiving Day. Both women had been beaten, raped, sodomized, and strangled with nylon stockings. Years later, Bundy described his postmortem rituals with the corpses of Smith and Aime, including hair shampooing and application of makeup.

2 of Bundy's victims Lisa Levy and Margaret Bowman.

The Battle of Hastings was fought for the crown of England between William, Duke of Normandy and the recently enthroned Harold Godwineson - At trial, crucial testimony came from Chi Omega sorority members Connie Hastings, who placed Bundy in the vicinity of the Chi Omega House that evening, and Nita Neary, who saw him leaving the sorority house clutching the oak murder weapon. Incriminating physical evidence included impressions of the bite wounds Bundy had inflicted on Lisa Levy's left buttock, which forensic odontologists Richard Souviron and Lowell Levine matched to castings of Bundy's teeth. Less than 15 hours before the scheduled July 2 execution, the 11th Circuit Court issued a stay on November 17 - Chi Omega's national headquarters are located in Memphis, Tennessee . By its 10th anniversary, in 1905, and with the support of Alumnae and Dr. Richardson, Chi Omega had installed 17 chapters throughout the United States - In both sexes, defense mechanisms provide transitory resolutions of the conflicts between the drives of the Id and the drives of the ego. The unconscious mind consists of the processes in the mind which occur automatically and are not available to introspection, and include thought processes, memories, interests, and motivations - Crowley's (15 August 1889 – April 15, 1972) special capacity for smoothing troubled waters drew him closer to FDR - There was a choice of rooms at Netherwood boarding houseon the Ridge and Crowley opted for number 13. The Great Beast 666 soon settled into a regular daily routine in Hastings.
