Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk is a musical that opened on Broadway in New York City, USA in 1996.
I used to work for a telecommunications company (AT&T), and at work I knew someone whose son was an understudy in the musical, so I travelled to New York to see the play so I could meet my friend's son. I was lucky because as an understudy, he did perform that day.
I LOVE the dancing AND the percussion AND the singing in this video, which I found by doing a search for the name of the play:

The person I saw perform is Joseph Monroe Webb. I wonder what he's doing now. If memory serves, his father told me Joseph wanted to be an actor. I went to see the tap dancing!
