G'day.
What is now being labelled as 'The Slap Heard Around The World', where Will Smith walked up on stage at the Oscars and slaps Chris Rock in the face, shows the 'entitled' personas of celebrities. Especially those coming out in defense of Will Smith's actions.
Firstly, this happened in America, where there is a Constitutional RIGHT to freedom of Speech, that being the first amendment. So, for starters, Will Smith has shown that he doesn't believe in freedom of speech, let alone that he can't take a joke. In fact, he went so far as to physically assault Chris Rock and thereby denying him his freedom of speech, as well as denying him the integrity of his physicality.
Secondly, those claiming that it was done in defense of his wife I will state this clearly, it was NOT a defense, it WAS an attack, a physical assault.
Thirdly, that someone has had there 'feelings' hurt is NO EXCUSE for physical violence against the one being claimed of causing those 'feelings'.
Now, if you would like to see the incident, it is all over social media and it doesn't really become necessary to post one of the voluminous amounts of videos showing the incident. So instead of showing the video of the incident, I am going to suggest a few memes for it and encourage you to add any you think of or that are now or soon to be posted on social media.
Commentary on a picture of the slap ...
1. When your music career is a failure.
2. Venom - There Will Smith be carnage.
3. When entitlement outways common sense, morality and the law.
4. When you find out Chris Rock makes more money than you do.
5. Will Smith's way of saying ... "I love you".
6. When you laugh at a joke about your wife and still want to get laid that night, be like ...
